Title: New Haberdashery Shop
Post by: T. Sackett on February 12, 2008, 02:46:27 PM
C. M. Crismas Putting in a Neat, New Gent's Furnishing Store, at His Tailor Shop

C.M. Crismas will very soon have his new haberdashery store in operation.  Shelves, show cases and counters are being put in, and the new goods are already here or arriving.
Everything will be brand new and he will carry a fine asortment of shirts, collars, ties, hats, gloves, hosiery and about everything men and boys wear.
He has one of the best locations in town, and will run an up-to-date little store.  He cordially invites the men and boys to call and see what he is doing for them. His stock will be carefully selected, and the quality will be of the best.
See the papers next week for advertising.

Pubished in the Howard Courant, on April 7, 1923

This must be what became The Toggery.

He sold collars, huh?

Wonder what year those went out?

I believe this is our own Jody's fathe, Clarence Crismas, who started the haberdashery store on Howard's Main Street.  Is this right, Jody?
