Kjell, Teresa:
When I was trying to insert the link in my post on Ruth Smith a while ago:
QuoteAs a technological exercise here is a link to what should be a google map of the area Howard
If you don't have broadband you will need to be patient to see anything.
I discovered Google's capability to insert the actual map into a web page. Some html code is generated and you are supposed to cut and paste the code into the web page.
How about on this forum. Does this forum have a capability support this feature, and if so is it (should it be) allowed?
No it is not set up for that. It has the capability but we don't allow it for the simple reason that adding codes might mess up the original layout.
Teresa:
OK thanks. I thought that might be the case but I thought I would ask.
I assume the links to the Google Maps work for those who have connections with enough bandwidth. At least I've seen no complaints yet.
