rock chalk jayhawk KU! Wish I had tickets!
Oh, say it again, Jody.
You're speakin' my language!
I wish I did too....I just hope these Texas stations feel it is worth their time to show it. It seems our Kansas teams just don't get the recognition they deserve.
Pray, children, pray !!!
Amen, amen!
If I read the schedule right, they are showing this game on ABC.......but we do know that local teams
and or powers-that-be can do what ever they want.
It should be a very very good game.
Rock Chalk JayHawks...........yipeee.
I found this on the inter-net. We can see if yelling at the T.V. will help K.U. win! That sure would be nice! I'd like for these California folks to at least have to acknowledge that there IS such a place as the University of Kansas, and that "our" team is, at this point in time, undefeated for the season! Go, Jayhawks!
"KU-Missouri game to kick off at 7 p.m
It's now official: The Border War game will be a primetime, national affair.
Kansas University officially learned that KU's football game Saturday against No. 6 Missouri will kick off at 7 p.m. and be televised by ABC.
It's a full national telecast, too, meaning that 100 percent of ABC affiliates across the country will air the game.
ABC had until Nov. 1 to decide which game it wanted to televise between KU-MU and Oklahoma State-Oklahoma. But the network chose to exercise a six-day window privilege and wait to see how November played out.
Kansas (11-0) and Missouri (10-1) left little doubt as to which game had higher stakes. The two now will play for the Big 12 North title — as well as continued national-championship aspirations — under the lights of Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
The Oklahoma State-Oklahoma game, meanwhile, will kick off at 2:30 p.m. and be televised by Fox Sports Net.
In addition, ESPN will hold its weekly College GameDay show in Kansas City."

KU is rank No. 2 in the polls. So, how big will the score spread will be in the game. I believe that there will be an overtime.
And with LSU losing, they'll be playing for the #1 ranking. :)
The tv pundits today are expecting Missouri to win. It would be nice to prove them wrong!
I am usually reading while listening (and watching instant replays) while a game is on.
I just hope the game gets so good........that I will forget to read and even use the time-outs to hit
the bathroom or Fridge........LOL.....
Now with all this hype......I just hope the game isn't a run-away.
I do like them close and it sure has been a long time since I have stayed with a team like I am doing
with this years Jayhawks.
Go KU
The U.of Del. handily beat DSU this afternoon. ESPN carried it. I'll watch KU tomorrow at 8:00 our time. Aren't playoffs fun?
FUN..Yes STRESSFUL??? Yes Yes Yes...........Fred doesn't understand why I "Coach" from the sofa. hahahahahaha I just can not help myself................I try so hard to help the quarterback pass and the receiver to catch, and I am totally worn out when it is over and hope I am jumping up and down and screaming JAYHAWKS !!!!Winners !!!
I am cooking a pot of ham and beans and will make my Mexican cornbread and there will be no getting in my way to watch the game.
Enjoy the game everyone.
Ok, it's dumb question time. Why is the game being played in Kansas City? A bigger stadium or neutral territory or what?
We have a double-action Saturday today as not only are we excited about the KU-Missouri game but earlier this afternoon we will be cheering for the OU Sooners as they try to defeat their rivals, Oklahoma State. I've fixed a meat/veggie tray, boiled shrimp, Rotel cheese dip, taco fixings, and fruit salad to get us through the day. No time for cooking when the games begin!!!!!!
Go Sooners and Go Jayhawks!!!!!!!
Diane, first daughter says that it is a bigger stadium plus it is as close to Missouri as it can get and still be in Kansas.
And, does it have anything to do with it being a night game?
I think it is all about the seating where KU only has 50,000 seats, Arrowhead has 79,000 seats. It is in Missouri but still close to Lawrence. GO Jayhawks.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's 8:15 out here in California, and, it's not looking good for K.U.! Doggone. With 8 minutes left in the game, "anything could happen!" (It's now M.U. - 31 to K. U. - 21.)
That was a very sad and disappointing ball game.
Altho they played better in the second quarter.
I was so afraid they were going to get whipped........they haven't
been very consistant this year.......but, to have come this far,
I am still proud of this years team.
at least it wasn't a massacre. I mean the score could have been 40 to 0.
I don't know how many seniors they will lose, but it looks like they could have a great year next year.
Sorry, this die-hard, purple-blooded K-State fan cannot bring myself to root for KU football, no matter how well they're doing this season.
WAHOOO MIZZOU!
;D
But odd that basketball is a different story; I'll root for KU in b-ball.
K U K State Wichita State Pittsburg State They are ALL KANSAS TEAMS and I will root for each and every one !!!
Sorry, this die-hard, purple-blooded K-State fan cannot bring myself to root for KU football,
Tobina, Tobina! What can I say, child?
Our son graduated from K.U., one daughter and son-in-law graduated from K-State, and our other daugher graduated from Wichita State, so, we supported all of the schools, and it's kind of interesting to be sitting around our table when K.U. and K-State are playing against each other! And, that's why "I" always say...."may the best team win!"
Bonnie,
You are so right.............I think as long as it is a good game, meaning no one side takes it all,
than I will always root for the good ball playing and the fact they all are trying their best.
I do try to follow the Big 12 and if they play well then I will watch.
Now if the Chiefs would just follow suit, I would be happy.
But, since I live in Longton and we aren't very good at winning games, I am talking school teams, etc
then I guess I go for the under-dogs.
Who ever they are. ;) ;) ;D
Yep, wondered how long it'd take to get reamed on that one. :-X
Well, my whole family is dyed-in-the-wool KSU fans. I spent LOTS of money at that school, so they're going to get every cheer I have until I die (and probably most of my pennies, too). 2 degrees and 6 years. My sister got 2 degrees and 5 years, plus she was a recruiter for 3 years. She still works for the Catholic Student Center, too. One brother got 1 degree in 5 years (5-year program), and the last brother will graduation this spring. Our parents didn't get degrees, but spent a couple of semesters there before marrying and going home to farm. Same goes for one grandpa. The youngest brother was a walk-on on the football team a few years ago, too, so even though I gripe about the FB program, I can't bring myself to cheer for anyone else during that sport!
Maybe next year, KU can be the bride instead of the bridemaid in football.
From a 1957 KU Grad -
Just enjoy the 10-1 season. During my time on campus we had some memorable games when the only teams we could beat in the
old Big 7 conference were K-State and Missouri.
Some of the highlights from the 1952 - 1956 era.
- Don Pfutzenreuter - playing right offensive guard at 153 pounds. (He was the best we had at the time)
- John Rhode - Leading the NCAA in punts and average yardage on punts. (If the stats were kept the Jayhawks also had lowest 3rd down conversion in the NCAA)
- Oklahoma's Gary Calame, so confident behind the line of scrimmage - he would bounce the football off the ground into Billy Vessel's hands on a left tackle slant.
- The after game celebration when the Jayhawks held the Oklahoma 1953 team to 45 points
- In all games I witnessed at Memorial Stadium YY (w-l-t), 53(1-4), 54(0-5), 55(3-2-1), 56(0-4-1)
Carl, next year should be great for the Jayhawks (not to say this one wasn't), I read where they will have 19 of the starting 22 back.
Frank winn
We were at the game and being the great fans they are, Missouri was again rude. As far as you KSU fans we could expect you to be for Missouri. Most Big 12 teams cheer for each other but after this year, we will never cheer KSU on as we have in the past.
Seems to me in the big games, Kansas and KSU should be for each other.
We did get the last laugh though, Ron Prince said the Missouri coach should the be Big 12 coach of the year, guess what.
Our big boy from KU has been named. Now all you KSU fans can jump right on that one, but he has done a great job at KU.
Looks like we go to a Bowl again.
Once again, we are KU fans forever. Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go KU
