Title: Information on old subject
Post by: greatguns on September 10, 2007, 08:50:49 AM
Dead Man's Gulch is located about eight miles south of Beaumont and a afew miles east, on a pasture road.  The gulch is situated to the south side of the road, south and east of a large hill known as the Porter Hill.  It is hidden in a valley, slopes gently down to the bottom with no gorge visable from a few hundred yards away.

I might be able to come up with some information about Upola as that is where my Mother grew up.

Thanks to all you folks, I have finally learned the location of Deadman's Gulch although it apparently will not do much good.

My information is the gulch received the name because of a secret hanging there in 1869.

Marcia, what is the reference to Lot 1? What body of water flows over the 14 foot waterfall?

Thanks, I knew there were adjustments made but did not know numerical descriptions were given to them.

I believe if you'll do some checking, that is no longer the Youngmeyer Ranch.  I was always told that was Blakeman Springs.
