Title: Cheese Wafers
Post by: Teresa on September 04, 2007, 10:30:35 AM
My sister made these this weekend and said that they are to die for.
( I told her that was just what I needed... something else made with flour to pack the pounds on my butt) lol

Cheese Wafers.
2 sticks of real butter (room temp)
Beat them up with the mixer then add 2 cups of sharp cheddar grated cheese.
Beat that up.
Then add 2 cups of flour, 1 teasp salt with 2 big teasp of baking powder (sift together & add slowly to butter/cheese mixture)

Roll into small balls and take a fork (I used the end of my meat tenderizer) and just barely flatten

Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.

I have made these several times --- and believe me, they are very good.  I have no idea if they keep well or not, as the times that I made them they were all eaten when served.
