Title: Bacus Weyrauch Barnaby School Photo
Post by: kfclark on August 09, 2007, 10:28:19 AM
As you can see from the photo and the caption I have some good information on here, but some of the names are missing. I count 15 heads and only 12 names on the caption.
Opal Barnaby was my "Step" Grandmother and I can't pick her out of this crowd because I only knew her as a mature woman.
Any help would be appreciated.

Any idea what Baner means?  Was that the name of the school?

Here is a transcription of the caption
     Baner L to R
Opal Bacus - Myrtle Barnaby -
Effie Bacus - Gertie Weyrauch
                -John Weyrauch
Frances Wright teacher - Opal Barnaby
Jessie Bacus-
Mabel Bacus - John Bacus -
Veda Bacus - Mildred Weyrauch

Kevin, I thought maybe the boy on the back row far right might be John, John was tall and the face kind of has his look. I remember Opal pretty well but it was in later years. A horse kicked me and broke my leg when I was in the 6th grade, I spent a lot of time for awhile setting propped up in a booth in my folks cafe. Opal and Glen would come by almost everyday and check on me. As I recall they had lost a son that would have been  about my age, I think they lost him due to lockjaw from an injury. They were both super nice people.

Kevin,

This picture of the Weyrauch's may help you to indentify some of the people in your picture.

I hope that you will notice the "farmer's tans" on the three young men on the back row.  LOL
