www.ancestry.com just released a bunch of new military records and are giving free access until D-Day.
I was able to go in and download the WWI Draft Registration cards for several family members and even discovered a birth date for a Great Uncle that I did not have before.
I am not ready to take the plunge and subscribe to Ancestry.com yet, but anything they are willing to share for free is a bonus.
This is such a good deal.
I've got records I want to look up also - now if I can only find MY records to look up THEIR records! ;D ;D
The Kansas Historical Society on-line has free access to lots of military records for Kansans. I subscribe to Ancestry.com and the available information is endless. I presently belong to a group of Winn, Wynn,Winne, Wynne all spellings that have a DNA project on-going of matching Winns (all spellings) all over the world. It has really opened alot of new research avenues for the group.
