Can you just imagine having to take an injured man to Wichita where he dies, then bring the body back to Elk County to then turn around and take the body back to Wichita?

Sheriff Brown was a grandfather's of Kenny Miller's from Grenola.  Kenny was a part-time deputy for me.  I can't remember if Brown was a grandfather or a great-grandfather.

QuoteA man with an auto load of booze and a big loaded revolver is not a safe man for an official to parley with.

I love these quotes - but they wouldn't be printed in today's papers!  :)
