Galt's observations of his family's struggles and his experiences through the first half of the 20th century led him to act decisively to protect himself, his industriousness, and his friends from the uncontrolled imposition of government, under the disguise of serving the greater interests, into our lives .
Seventy-five years later, his observations and his story are ever more clear to growing numbers of people around the world. We wonder what Galt would do today. We know he would stay true to himself. I ask, what will you do?
What follows will hopefully be a series of posts concerning today's unstable and unsustainable economic and social climate, and how Galt-inspired thinkers are preparing and reacting. The posts will be apolitical, posted under Politics only because a more suitable General Category is lacking on this Forum.

Galt's Objectivism
In the name of the best within you;
- do not sacrifice your sense of life to an enemy that would claim your precious mind,
- do not let the fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark,
- do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserve, but have never reached.
The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours.
Are You Prepared?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TI2RGC6F9ckIn 1859 the world had telegraph lines, steel rails, and steel railroad engines and steam ships. The Carrington Event, a coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun, burned and melted some of the telegraph wires, but did not harm other conductive metals. I'm presuming all the telegraph lines did not fail because they were not all conducting electricity when the CME hit Earth.
Today, we live in a world-wide grid of electronics. Much of the grid is conducting all the time. Today the Earth's electromagnetic field, that shields us from CME's, is about 25% weaker than it was in 1859. (Yes, we have data measurement and collection of magnetic field strength for that period of time.)
When the next big CME strikes Earth our grid will go down, and survival will mean re-living the Late Stone Age. While we will have minds full of technology, we will no longer have electricity. And most of our industrialization requires electricity. What does not?
Are you prepared to live without electricity? The timeline for the next large CME is 2026 to 2034.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX23iSS8XAw
