Steve L. Harris of Eureka, Kansas passed away on January 23, 2020 in El Dorado, Kansas at the age of 59. He was born on January 19, 1961 in Winfield, Kansas, the son of Charles Leslie and Blanche (Hughes) Harris.
Steve was raised in Winfield and Howard, Kansas and graduated from West Elk High School in Howard in 1979. He owned his own business in Howard with his father and brothers. He was also a caretaker for Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard. Later in life, he worked as an in-home caretaker.
Steve is survived by his partner, Donna Watts; three stepchildren, Jerry (Jennifer) Watts of Eureka, Kansas, Janett Avritt and partner, Wesley Gulick of Wichita, Kansas, and Raymond (Amanda) Watts of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and three siblings, Fred Harris of Howard, Kansas, Gary Harris of Humboldt, Kansas, and Mary Holroyd of Howard, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been effected. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
