Post by: genealogynut on February 18, 2007, 01:57:11 PM
Howard Courant
January 27, 1916

Christiana E. Heisler and Mr. Ira Davis were united in marriage at the home of the bride's uncle, C. E. Heisler, Howard, Kansas, Thursday, January 20, 1916 at 6 o'clock p.m.  The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. O. L. Weir.  Immediately after the ceremony the bride and groom lead the way to the dining room where a bounteous supper was served.

The bride has lived in and around Howard all her life and is an exquisite young lady and liked by everyone.  The groom is a very fine and industrious young man.

Those present to witness the ceremony were:  Misses Myrtle and Margaret Carter, Florence and Mary Heisler, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Heisler and Fred Heisler.

Mr. and Mrs. Davis will be at home to their many friends on the C. E. Heisler farm northeast of Howard.  All join in wishing them a happy and prosperous wedded life.

No, she was not married to anyone but Ira Davis.  She was the sister of my step-grandmother.
