As inadvertently stated by Ted Cruz. Regarding the recent vote in the UN concerning Israeli settlements in which the U.S. abstained, Cruz tweeted: "No US $ for UN until reversed." This is the problem with conservatives. When the UN does something bad, then they want to cut UN funding. When the NEA funds filthy art, then they want to eliminate its funding. When NPR displays more liberal bias than normal, then they want to privatize the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). They talk about the Constitution and limited government, but don't believe in either. Funding for the UN should be ended regardless of what resolutions it passes. Funding for the NEA should be eliminated even if the NEA doesn't fund dirty art. Funding for the CPB should not exist even if Hannity and Limbaugh were on NPR. Conservatives have no firm philosophical foundation to stand on.
