Thanks for the ideas everyone. We may have to buy a frame and have it reupholstered. Anyone around here do that kind of work?

There is a big salvage yard in Winfield. I have always been able to find what I want there. It is along 160 highway before you get to Winfield. Sorry, the name escapes me at the moment. I also can maybe put you in touch with a fellow in texas who makes a living restoring VWs. PM me if needed. Okay?
