Obama Requests $542 Million In Housing Aid for Drug Addicts

...For the Fiscal Year 2013 National Drug Control budget, Obama has requested $25.6 billion, including $542.4 million to fund HUD programs that provide housing to individuals in drug treatment, according to the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), which is charged with developing that budget.
According to the ONDCP, the requested FY 2013 budget will "reduce drug use and its consequences in the United States." (The fiscal year 2013 runs from Oct. 1, 2012 to Sept. 30, 2013.)
The $542.4 million in drug control funding for HUD marks an estimated 18 percent increase of $96.4 million over the FY 2012 enacted level of $446 million.

Yea right. You just as well flush that half billion down the tubes. Houses for "long term " ? Be just like the housing projects . Hell, they won't even be moved into before all the copper wire and plumbing is stripped and sold for drugs
Saw a segment on the History channel about a similar, or same program for alcoholics that is, and has been, going on for some time. We give them an apartment, AND a ration of booze. The claim is the occupants drink less and have more self esteem. It showed residents hanging out drinking and smoking herb on our dime.
Makes me wonder how many more of these give away projects are going on.

Yeah... uhuh. I doubt very seriously that money will make it to HUD. I can see a big portion
going to one of Obuma's pet projects like FEMA. Gotta keep building those camps. :laugh:
