Longton couple to celebrate 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cannon, Longton, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Senior Citizen Center in Longton Sunday, Dec. 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Harry Cannon and Aliene Howell were married Dec. 17, 1946 in Sedan and have ranched in Longton since.
The couple have one daughter, Patricia Snively of Howard; five sons, Bill Cannon, John Cannon, and Howard Cannon all of Howard, kenneth Cannon of Ogallala, Neb., and Harold Cannon of Longton. They have 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
The couple requests no gifts.
