While we cannot stop the financial tsunami about to crash this country, we can begin rebuilding American jobs by taking action.

Good post Red. My love of redhead women is well documented here on the forum and Devvy just adds to my love of smart redheaded women.
On this forum I have long been advocating for us to forgo the cheap Chinese made Walmart products and support our local businesses by spending a little more money. Just because the Chinese made goods are cheaper in the store doesn't mean they are the best buy. Any accountant knows that that are many more costs to a product than the register price. The decimation of the American Manufacturing Industry is just an example. Add in the cost of the unemployed, the degradation of Detroit, the decline of rural America. Yes it is cheaper at the register to buy Chinese (et al) goods but the true cost is greater. Buy local the closer to home the better.
