I would like to welcome you to the forum. The thing I have been trying to figure out is what your log on name means. With my limited Spanish knowledge the best I can come up with is: Head Cow, as in the picture of that Angus bull is a picture of Jefe de las vacas. His favorite cow would be Jefe de Vaca. ??? Anyway welcome to the forum and good choice of log on name.
David
How about "boss of the cow".
In Spanish they say things backwards to our English, or vice versa, so Cow Boss.
Thank you for the welcome!
I sure like that picture. My parents had Angus. Not a large herd but very nice.

Yo dirĂa que el jefe de ganado, pero voy a llamar hefe de vaca.

Welcome aboard, Cow Boss. You'll have to excuse David's border-town slang. I think he tried to say,"You have a herd of cows but you don't know where they are. While ambling around, you see a beautiful woman. You break for lunch. Life is good." David lives in California and I have all ideas he's made a few successful trips to Tijuana. Ah yes, speaking of Tijuana.....
Jefe, como se llama del toro negro?
Ferdinand, por que es muy amigable. Es ahora propiedad otra gente
Ah, si ,gracias.
De nada, senora Diane, donde usted? Gente otre hablas NYC. Que de ulitimo vez aqui?
Y, David, besos por ti. No mas basura hablar, OK? Tal vez solo un vaca con mi, no mucho.
Warph, thanks for the welcome. I enjoy your posts. Do you come up with them off the top of your head? Great stuff.
I may have to share some homebrew and steak with you sometime.

Welcome Jefe.
Looks like you are going to make the forum more interesting..............and another one to give me a headache..............LOL
I will look forward to reading what you post.
I must type in English......I didn't learn any other language.........have enough trouble with my native language........Welcome to you.
Let me add my welcome, also, Bossman!! ;) It is a pleasure to read someone so well-written...I look forward to reading more!! ;D
Sorry Judy. Jefe, I live in northern Delaware, in Newark, a college town. I was born in Wilmington, thanks to WWII, but grew up in a big place in nearby south eastern PA. Daddy was hired by Hercules Powder Co here to work on synthetic rubber for the war effort. My parents always expected to go back to Kansas but Daddy was never transferred. I went to UD here in Newark, put down roots and stayed.
I've been fortunate enough to be able to travel to NYC and up and down the east coast quite a lot. As of 2008 we've been to all 50 states. ( or is that 57?) Since so much colonial history happened here and near here, especially Philadelphia, I've grown up with all the wonderful old history and have been able to see where much of it happened. We still haven't been to the "new" Constitution Center in Philly. It's on our to do list for right after school starts. Ok, enough about me or a few will start complaining.
No we won't Diane. I enjoy reading about other peoples life. Mine is so one dimensional.
I know, I know, but being on a low-fixed income and also having a disability.. I am lucky.
I enjoy life, I enjoy, a lot, reading about other peoples troubles! and progress and I do hope
I continue to do the same.
Keep writing and ignore the negative.............Hugs
Oh, I would love to send this hot weather back south where it belongs. Can't really enjoy my walks and
the dogs suffer too........hate to see a/c bill this month. Going to be nasty!
I'll help you send that heat back south. We're starting a heat wave, our kind at least. You always get 'way hotter than we ever do, but we have our moments from time to time. A heat wave here is three days or more in a row of 90 or above. Our air quality is bad today too. People with respiratory problems are encouraged to stay inside during the afternoon.

Pep de vaca, I did not mean it as trash talk. As Warph said, please excuse my border slang as I live in California and am still trying to learn the historical language.
Warph, as I told you before that incident in Mexico with the Federale's daughter was a misunderstanding. She asked me to put the suntan lotion on her. How did I know she was 16? I told him Norteno to let him know I was from Northern California. How did I know Norteno was a drug gang.
