A momentous week for the world's most popular bald eagles, and for hundreds of thousands of people who have gotten to know the raptors intimately during the past 10 weeks, was capped Saturday when one of three eagle chicks embarked on its maiden flight. http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/blog/27808/iowas+world-famous+bald+eagle+chicks+begin+to+fledge/

WOW.... a massive thunderstorm just hit and knocked out the TV monitor on the eagles.
I'm not sure but I think I just got hit with lightening while watching!
That must be why I wasn't able to get the link to work... ???...I love those crittercams...Last year, I had a link to a crittercam that was watching a nest of hummingbirds. I'll try the link later for the eagle chicks. Can't wait to see them! :-)
When I tuned in yesterday, they were all three out of the nest and setting on an adjacent branch. I wonder if they have any feathers left after that lightning strike?
