Report: US gives Netanyahu ultimatum on resuming talks
"Israel Radio Reported Sunday that The United States (Obuma) gave Netanyahu an ultimatum on renewing negotiations with the Palestinians.
According to the ultimatum, Netanyahu has to decide within a month whether he agrees to accept US President Obama's proposal and resume talks based on 1967 lines."
An ultimatum! I gotta ask, "Or What?" What's the threat that goes along with this ultimatum?
Also, did the Palestinians get an ultimatum? After all, it was they who walked out of the negotiations last September. We have the first fully purchased Presidency operating as a subsidiary of George Soros! If Obuma allows the UNSC to declare a Palestinian state, a great deal of his American Jewish campaign money will dry up and he and George will be singing, "The Party's Over..."
Speaking of American Jews.... I am not overly surprised when the majority of American Jews continue to support Obuma, but I know it confounds Christians. What they fail to grasp is that Israel's survival is not only a low priority item for Obuma, but for a great many Jews.
Some American Jews, by and large, are far more connected to liberalism than they are to Judaism, far less familiar with the Talmud than with "Dreams of My Father" or "The Audacity of Hope." The more religious a Jew is, the more likely he is to be a political conservative and to be concerned with Israel's security. On the other hand, the younger and more secular a Jew is, the more likely he is to identify with Israel's sworn enemies and the more likely he is to prioritize green energy, socialized medicine, same-sex marriages and federally-funded abortions.
It is no mystery that so many iconic figures on the left are Secular Jews. They would include Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov Lenin (part Jew), Saul Alinsky, Noam Chomsky, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, Barney Frank, Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, Barbara Boxer, Charles Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Henry Waxman, Barbra Streisand, Brad Sherman, Norman Lear, Jon Stewart, Alan Colmes, Anthony Weiner, Bernie Sanders, Steven Spielberg and George Soros, to name a few. I'm afraid that attending synagogue once or twice a year, sprinkling one's conversation with the occasional "schlemiel" and "schmendrick," and having a taste for corned beef or pastrami does not a Jew make. In liberal circles, however, all it takes is voting for the most far left-wing candidate on the ballot.
I need only share a few additional facts to make my case. There are, 154 Catholics in Congress... 24 in the Senate and 130 in the House. Of the 154, 84 are Democrats.... 70 are Republicans.
There are 70 Baptists and Southern Baptists in Congress.. 10 in the Senate and 60 in the House. Of the 70... 26 are Democrats, 44 are Republicans.
There are 47 Presbyterians in Congress.... 15 in the Senate and 32 in the House. Of the 47... 16 are Democrats, 31 are Republicans.
When you realize that the Republicans in Congress currently out-number the Democrats 287-246, you can see that the 145 to 126 Republican advantage in those three major religious groups is nearly perfectly in sync with the overall makeup of the legislature.
However, there are 33 Jews currently in Congress, 12 in the Senate, 21 in the House. Of the 33, 32 are Democrats, while Eric Cantor constitutes the ENTIRE Republican contingent.
Even though Barack Hussein Obuma has displayed bias towards the Arabs and Muslims ever since he entered the Oval Office, whether it was demanding that Israel stop erecting housing in the so-called settlements, going back to its 1967 borders or glowering at its prime minister as if he'd just nuked Chicago, he's not the first president who has held Israel to an impossible standard while giving the Arabs a pass. At least since Carter, they've all behaved as if the stumbling block to peace is that Israel is just too damn big. Why else would every "Path To Peace" invariably begin with Israel's being asked to cede land? Inasmuch as Israel is by far the smallest nation in the region, it suggests that each of them, but especially Obuma, would have insisted that if it had been up to him, David would have had to first hand over his slingshot, and then fight Goliath from his knees with one arm tied behind his back.
....Warph
I finally figured out the threat. There is a UN resolution that may be submitted (this September, 2011) to accept "Palestine" (including Hamas) as a full member of the UN. That would make "Palestine" a state as far as the UN is concerned. The UN Charter protects the territorial integrity or political independence of any state from the threat or use of force. There is probably only one country that would veto such a resolution at the Security Council: The United States.... but with Obuma in office, that may not happen.... THAT IS THE THREAT!!!
Usually an ultimatum involves an either..... "either do this, or this is what will happen" type of threat. The story really doesn't say what the counter consequence might be. Given Obuma's abysmal congressional support on this matter, it's beginning to look like the executive branch is bluffing.... to me, anyway. Israel is smart enough, and influential enough, to make things hugely uncomfortable for Obuma and if he has a half-a-brain, he'll understand that. There would be huge political consequences, on the domestic front, if the community organizer tries to ram this one through.

a. Palestinian statehood is not a threat
b. Israel, nor any other country, should be dictating our government's policies. I'm so sick and tired of Zionist shills posing as Americans in order to try and influence people to support a racist apartheid regime.

Same as your racist ANTI-Jew rhetoric there Anmar.
there's nothing anti-jew about anything i said. Please be more specific as to what you're referring to.
Don't make the mistake of equating Israel and Zionist with Jews and Judaism. They are not the same and your belief that they are only shows how ignorant you really are.
True orthodox Jews protest against Zionism and Israel. The Torah forbids Israel's existence and the mistreatments and oppression that has become associated with Zionism.

You might have gotten away with calling Ms. Wilma "elderly" but calling Pam and old woman"? I'm a' feared you finally let your alligator mouth over-load your canary ass. Do you have any idea of the ways that squaw knows how to torture a California immigrant ??? The song 'Chestnuts Roasting Over an Open Fire" comes to mind. ;D

wow jarhead, you're really on a troll, have you ever heard the term troll, as it pertains to internet forums?
Troll---yep, that's me. Just trying to keep pace with some of the "moderates" on here

I'll bet you ran to mama everytime someone took your lunch money too.
You wouldn't find the duke crying bully.
And you wouldn't find someone with The Duke's character BEING a bully, either. He was always above that type of behavior.
What we need here is a few more John Waynes.

And a few less Liberty Valance's!
NO JOKE
At some point in my lifetime, men abandoned their iron fists for Iron Chef. Everyone became sensitive and in touch with their feelings. Nowadays men call their lawyers to settle disputes in the court room -- when I was growing up you called Joey, Tommy and Vinny to settle it in the parking lot. Our original American Idol wasn't Clay Aiken -- it was John Wayne. We didn't drink Red Bull -- we drank Red Label. It pains me to watch men continue on this downward spiral toward softness.
Talk the talk
When your a real man, just look someone right in the eye and make sure there's conviction behind your voice. You can scream all day long about bullies and violations of social justice as much as you want, but that recklessness won't fly with a tough guy. Michael Corleone was the king of tough talk. His cool demeanor yet fiery stare was the ultimate vocal combination. You never respond by yelling. I simply look in his eyes and calmly say: "I would appreciate it if you met me outside to further resolve this matter." Only I don't use that exact phrasing.
Take the pain, and don't complain
Real men play hurt, take the pain and know that complaining is only for cafones who crave attention. The respect that comes from enduring pain is a lot better than the sympathy you get from moaning about it. President Regan after being shot outside of his limo walked into the hospital and refused to be carried in like some invalid. Now he had cahones and was a real man! Complaining is a sign of weakness, and it's definitely not a sign that you can be a man.
Choose your battles
Don't let your alligator mouth overide your hummingbird ass. Make sure the battle is worth the pain. Things like a guy bumping and groping you wife, disrespecting her or anyone in your family, including those that are gone you better act.
Stand up for your ideals
A man has principles and ideals that he won't compromise. It can be trust, respect or honesty, a real man has values that he'll never tolerate being tarnished. Defending his beliefs is always justified. And if he doesn't act in their defense, he knows he's a justifiable coward.
Don't fear fear
There's a common myth that tough guys don't fear anything. Trust me -- we do. The trick, however, is to hide that fear. Never wear your emotions on your sleeve. That's a stain the dry cleaner can't get out.
Flex that authoritative muscle
take a note from The Don himself. As Johnny Fontane cried to Vito Corleone: "Godfather, I don't know what to do!" The Don didn't respond with: "Have you tried psychoanalysis?" or "I know this great anti-depressant." The Don simply said: "You can act like a man!" That is my overall advice to those who find themselves falling into the pit of softness. I'm not saying we're all made out to be a tough guy, and I'm not saying my tips are the only ones to follow. However, I do know it's never too late to regain your manhood. So throw down your chai lattes and stand up for yourself. Stand up for your principles and don't let fear bog you down. Talk the talk, walk the walk and dammit, act like a man!
Marion Mitchell Morrison Never backed down from anything. IN the movies or in real life. He stood tall and proud up til the day that his final battle was lost. He faced it with dignity and pride and by God he died being a real Man.

Actually he wouldn't have put up with the likes of jerry
I agree with all of that, Steve...And I've witnessed you walking that same walk, when you haven't let someone like Jerry goad you into writing things you normally wouldn't. I would add to the list that you just published the aspect of being a gentleman. Just because you don't use uncouth language doesn't mean you're soft...It merely means that you have enough of a vocabulary that you are able to express yourself without it. There's nothing soft about that. I have respected your stand up to yesterday, Steve. Stick to it...And don't lower yourself to Jerry's level.

Men like THAT get my respect.
How about some heroes that are real people and not film characters. That means the real hero was the screen writer who wrote the script!...after all John Wayne's real name was Marion.. If I was 6ft. 7", that'd make me cranky too! ;D ;D Call me an ol' lady will ya? Piffle! ;D
You're only as old as you feel...And if that's the case...I'm older than dirt.

Gotta say Diane......his name may have been Marion originally but he was quite a man in real life and you aint gonna catch me dissin Big John! ;D
What I thought was great was the fact that he bought into his own legend...He actually believed he WAS John Wayne...And got extremely upset with Kirk Douglas when he played something other than the tough guy. He told Kirk that he had a responsibility to uphold his tough man, cowboy image. Interesting, the difference in perspectives regarding jobs...
I totally agree! Just my goofy sense of humor as usual.

IF you knew anything about Marion he was all that and then some. He was a man on and off the screen. :)
I did mention also Ronald Regan. He gave the SS fits all the time. He did his own work, he cut his wood, tended his ranch. Didn't have to have help to do it.
John Wayne?? Kirk Douglass?? Who are these guys ???
I know of a Micheal Douglass, kind of an old actor now.
I seem to remember a couple old geezers on the original Battlestar Galactica - Loren Greene and Lloyd Bridges. I think Jeff bridges might be a son. Jeff played an intersting fellow named Rooster Cogburn recently. Good actor.

please explain how I was lowering the debate. The statement regarding 'queers' was backwards. I am sorry if he took offense because he was discussing his father but people of all stripes have the right to exist as THEY see fit. What was he proposing people should do regarding homosexuals... Arrest... Beat up like he suggested he do to me? Yes please tell me Cat.
Jerry...I was making reference to the fact that your post appeared to put down Steve's deceased father. That's all. I have opinions, like anyone...But appearing to put down a person's deceased father isn't something I would do. Period. On that subject, Steve had my sympathy and I stated that. I didn't get from Steve's post anything homophobic in the least. I did get the fact that you had crossed a line with him and his response reflected that.
