Title: My History Book Had It All Wrong!
Post by: sixdogsmom on June 04, 2011, 12:06:46 AM
Sarah Palin today, said that Paul Revere rode to warn the British that Americans were going to keep their arms or some such. I was laughing so hard that I did not get past that first sentence. Keep on bussin' Sarah! Keep on! Lol!  ;D ;D ;D

Yup, and he rang all those bells too, to warn the British we wouldn't give up our arms....and she's from what state originally?  ;)  I think I missed some of it too, but I suspect it will be aired again. One if by land... Of course the famous Longfellow poem romanticized it so much some of the facts of that night may have been lost to the ages. I'm glad she wasn't there when I was recently. I can just imagine the traffic mess.

What a silly girl. I suppose next she will say something about being in all 57 states--or maybe be speaking to LIVE Marines and call them the Marine "Corpse"

Is it collective stupidity, or has the educational system let us down?  I would bet that both Palin and Obama know how to put a condom on a cucumber and understand the concepts of diversity acceptance!  But, can they balance a checkbook?!?

Ok, then how come I know? The education system sure didn't let me down. I learned it well enough to actually remember it, not just to get past a test. Miss Sarah was more interested in being a basket ball star. ;)

Perhaps things have morphed a bit regarding priorities from when we were in school.  Like a growing influence of progressivism imposed by socialist leaning politicians and administrators in curriculum and a growing willingness on the part of educators to go along with those influences (though surely not to engender themselves to their 'workers unite' union+politician bought benefits).
