I know its been a few weeks, but I just wanted to post a tribute to someone whom I admired as a dying breed of honorable men dedicated to public service. Whether you agreed with his viewpoints or not, he always had the public interest in mind and was an honest man. Most importantly, he was a man who knew that he wasn't perfect, and he could stand up in front of the world and admit it.

Byrd missed his calling... should have been fiddling at the Grand Ol' Opry fulltime instead of fiddling around with Politics. He could make a violin sing.
