Marsha F. (Wollner) Floyd, born on April 21, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026 after a long battle with Alzheimer's with her loving husband, Gary, at her side.  She was the cherished daughter of Herman and Frankie Wollner and the beloved sister of her younger brother, William Carlyle, who preceded her in death.

Marsha's journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit, her laughter, and her immeasurable love for family and friends.  Her life was enriched by her marriage to Leroy Zimmerman with whom she shared many years until his passing in 2014.  Together they raised two daughters creating a legacy of love and care that continues to flourish.

Education was important to Marsha who graduated from Wichita Heights High School in Wichita, Kansas and later earned an associate's degree from Butler Community College.  Her career path was dedicated to nurturing and supporting children.  After working at Beechcraft, she chose to be a stay-at-home mom, providing childcare for others, and later with her degree in hand, she began a fulfilling career at Truesdell Middle School where she taught children with special needs until her retirement.

An active member of her community, Marsha participated in various churches throughout her life and was a devoted member of the Rotary Club in Howard, Kansas, VFW Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary.  Her generous spirit and warm personality made her a friend to all, and her laughter and wit could light up any room.  She had a heart for people, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand.

Marsha's passions extended beyond her professional life.  She loved traveling with her husband exploring the United States and venturing overseas creating memories along the way.  A fervent Kansas City Chiefs fan, she attended home games faithfully, cheering her team on with unwavering enthusiasm.

Marsha is survived by her devoted husband of eleven years, Gary Floyd with whom she shared a deep and abiding love.  She was blessed with a loving family that includes her daughter, Capri and her granddaughter, Makena.  Her family grew with the addition of her stepson, Jeremy and wife, Steffanie and her step-grandchildren, Cortney (Cody) Fowler, Zandra (Josh) Rice, Rachel Floyd and husband, Toby; and her ten cherished great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Marsha's life was held on October 8, 2026 at the Howard Baptist church in Howard, Kansas followed by burial at the Moline Cemetery in Moline, Kansas.   The family requests donations be made in her memory to the Howard Baptist Church or the Howard American Legion #0149, organizations close to her heart. Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas has been entrusted with arrangements. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Healthwatch Hospice and especially Leslie Lomas and Gloria Williams for their constant care and support during Marsha's final days.  Marsha's legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
