Doris Lee Niblack-Taylor, age 89, passed away on July 28, 2026 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas.  She was born at home in Moline, Kansas on October 16, 1938 to Walter Lee and Leta Fern (Miller) Adkins. 

Doris started school in Bowlegs, Oklahoma in 1st grade.  2nd and part of 3rd grade was spent in Okemah, Oklahoma.  Finishing 3rd and completing 4th grade in Shidler, Oklahoma, the family moved to Wewoka, Oklahoma where she continued her education, graduating from high school in Wewoka. 

After graduation, she married Marion Clyde Niblack in May 1954. They moved to Amarillo Texas and then to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for job opportunities where two children were born.  Job opportunities took the family to LaHabra, California.  She later lived in Guymon, Oklahoma and finally back to her birthplace, Moline, Kansas.  She went back to school in 1986 and received education in Adult Care Home Aide and started working at the Elk Manor Nursing Home in Moline.  In July 1990 she received her Medication Aide certification.

Doris married Bud Taylor at her parents' home in September 1990.  She retired from the nursing home after 25 years of service in October 2001.  Her hobbies were bowling, playing cards, and reading.  She had a love of cross stitching and made many pictures for her family and friends as gifts.  She also enjoyed going to the casino and Senior dances with her best friend, Martha Cooley.  Martha and Doris took trips to Branson, Missouri to enjoy the shows.  Doris also enjoyed her church family at the Moline First Baptist Church.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Robin (Niblack) Brisbois and husband, Mark of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shona (Trek) Lewis of Midland, Texas, Gary (Erin) Adams of Littleton Colorado, April McLean of Howard, Kasnas, and Aaron Niblack of Hutchinson, Kansas; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Duane (Linda) Adkins of Wylie Texas; two cousins, Gary (Sandy) Foust of Winfield, Kansas and Andi (John) Hebb of Moline, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.  Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Fern Adkins; her son, Randy Duane Niblack; her grandson-in-law, Scott McLean; her great-grandson, Turner Samuel McLean; her best friend, Martha Cooley; and her husband, William "Bud" Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moline Baptist church with burial to follow at the Moline City Cemetery.  Memorials have been suggested to the Moline Baptist Church and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E.
