Shirley "Alice" (Lowry) Morgan, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 24, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on September 28, 1943 in Moline, Kansas to Marion W. and Grace Lowry.

Alice's life was characterized by compassion, dedication, and a profound love for her family and community.  She grew up in Kansas and graduated from Moline High School, a place that held a special significance in her heart.  She cherished the bonds formed during her school years, faithfully attending alumni reunions for an amazing 63 years.  She delighted in reconnecting with friends and reminiscing about the memories they shared.

Alice's greatest devotion was to her family.  She raised five daughters along with Harold's three daughters from a prior marriage, showering them with unwavering support and boundless love.  Her daughters recall her being their biggest cheerleader, attending swim meets, cheerleading practices, Girl Scout meetings, softball and soccer games, and lacrosse matches.  She was always there with a helping hand, offering guidance and encouragement at every stage. There are cherished tales of her fierce protection, like when she shielded her daughters from their horse, Bubbles, taking the brunt of the danger herself.

Family gatherings were a special source of joy for Alice.  Holidays at her home were filled with the delicious aroma of breads, desserts, side dishes, and turkey, all lovingly prepared by her.  Her culinary talents extended to creating recipe books, sharing her passion for cooking with those she loved.  Her kitchen was a place of laughter, warmth, and togetherness.

Alice's interests and hobbies reflected a zest for life and a deep-rooted curiosity. She loved researching genealogy, discovering and preserving stories from the past.  Her green thumb was well known; she brought beauty wherever she planted, and her gardens were admired by all who knew her.  She enjoyed relaxing with an episode of General Hospital, and she held a special fondness for all things Elvis.  Visits to Colorado where her family had lived were times of reminiscence and adventure that she treasured. 

Those closest to Alice will remember her trademark humor and favorite quotes, especially in moments of lighthearted chaos.  When asked, "Mom, where are you going?", she would respond with her signature wit, "Crazy man, Crazy!" Despite always being there for others, she never asked for help herself, embodying selflessness and strength.

Shirley Alice is survived by her husband, Harold Eugene Morgan and her loving daughters, Tania M. Wisner, Ronda K. Elzein, Sheila R. Frye, Diana L. Davidson, Angela M Pierpont, Valerie Stump, and Stephanie Myers.  She is also remembered by her son-in-law, Bryan K. Frey and by her sisters, Linda S. Jonasson and Mary Lou Hogan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion W. Lowry and Grace Lowry-Moore; her brothers, Gerald Scott and John W. Lowry; her beloved daughter, Chistina Morgan; her son-in-law, Marty Stump; and her grandsons, Adam Stump and Isaac Stump.

As Shirley's family and friends reflect on her remarkable life, they do so with admiration for her enduring spirit, compassionate nature, and the countless ways she nurtured those around her.  Her legacy will continue in the generations she has inspired and the love she wove throughout her family. She will forever be remembered for her strength, humor, and boundless affection for her family.  Her presence will be greatly missed, but her memory will remain a guiding light for all who knew and loved her.
