DUNIGAN, Dennis - b. June 22, 1953 - May 10, 2026

Dennis Dunigan, beloved husband, father, and brother in Christ Jesus, went home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2026 at the age of 72.  He was the son of Alvin Roscoe and Iris Lucille (Doan) Dunigan.

Dennis attended Allen Elementary and John Marshall Junor High School in Wichita, Kansas.  There he developed a passion for antique cars and trucks.  He always jumped on an opportunity to work on one if it arose.  He enjoyed fishing the local lakes as well.  For a good part of his working life, he drove trucks for a company out of Wichita, allowing him to see much of the Midwest.  After moving to Howard, Kansas, Dennis would often be seen cutting lawns with his riding lawn mower or cruising to the Howard Lake on his motorbike.

Outside his passions and health problems, Dennis had recently rededicated this life to Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism in late 2025. He said he was going into a new season in his life.  He came faithfully to worship and the Thursday night men's study at Rebekah Hall.  Dennis's blunt attitude and one of a kind laugh will surely be missed.

Dennis is survived by his brother, Tim Allen Dunigan of Howard, Kansas; his sister, Janet Lambert of Wichita, Kansas; his daughter, Shawnna 'Dunigan of Texas; a stepdaughter, Valina; and many friends who supported him in his walk with Jesus Christ.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Iris Dunigan, and his wife of 37 years, Connie Hays Dunigan.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Howard, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Baptist Church, Howard Building Fund, 135 N. Cedar Street, Howard, Kansas 6349.
