Jeanne Denise (Davis) Trefethen, age 55, of Burden, Kansas, passed away April 7, 2026 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.  Born March 6, 1971 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Martin "Marty" and Gloria (Kelly) Davis.

Jeanne was raised and received her education in Winfield, Kansas, graduating from Winfield, High School in 1989.  After high school, she went to work at Binney & Smith working in several capacities including forklift driver.  She remained at Binney & Smith until its closing in 1997.  Shen then attended Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas, graduating with an Associate degree in Criminal Justice.  During this time, she worked as an Assistant Manager at Wendy's.

Jenne worked at Rubbermaid for a number of years where she met Denis Trefethen.  The couple were married on February 14, 2005 in Winfield where they made their home.  They later move to Burden, Kansas where Jeanne was a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother.  She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.  She enjoyed shopping, collecting candles, going to craft fairs, riding dune buggies, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Her family includes her husband, Denis Trefethen of Burden, Kansas; her sons, Jonathan (Faith) Austin of Hutchinson, Kansas and Trystan Trefethen of Burden, Kansas; her mother, Gloria Davis of Winfield, Kansas;  her brother, Jeff Davis of Winfield, Kansas, her sister, Jamie (Todd) Harrod of Winfield, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Journey, Brenton, Braden, Waylon, and John.  She was preceded in death by her father. 

Private services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. 9th Avenue, Winfield, Kansas 67156.  A memorial has been established in Jeanne's name for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
