Obamacare Will Be Repealed Well In Advance Of The 2014 Elections
11/11/2013 Forbes

Prediction: even if HealthCare.gov is fixed by the end of the month (unlikely), Obamacare is going to be repealed well in advance of next year's election.  And if the website continues to fail, the push for repeal—from endangered Democrats—will occur very rapidly.  The website is a sideshow: the real action is the number of people and businesses who are losing their health plans or having to pay a lot more.  Fixing the website will only delay the inevitable.

It is important to remember why it was so important for Obama to promise repeatedly that "if you like your health insurance/doctor, you can keep your health insurance/doctor."  Cast your mind back to the ignominious collapse of Hillarycare in 1994.  Hillarycare came out of the box in September 1993 to high public support according to the early polls.  This was not a surprise.  Opinion polls for decades have shown a large majority of Americans support the general idea of universal health coverage.  But Hillarycare came apart as the bureaucratic details came out, the most important one being that you couldn't be sure you'd be able to keep your doctors or select specialists of your choice.  The Clintons refused to consider a compromise, but even with large Democratic Senate and House majorities the bill was so dead it was never brought up for a vote.

Remember "Harry and Louise"?  Obama did, which is why he portrayed Obamacare as simply expanding coverage to the uninsured, and improving coverage for the underinsured while leaving the already insured undisturbed.  But the redistributive arithmetic of Obamacare's architecture could never add up, which is what the bureaucrats knew early on—as early as 2010 according to many documents that have leaked.  The wonder is that Obama's political team didn't see this coming and prepare a pre-emptive strategy for dealing with the inevitable exposure of the duplicity at the heart of Obamacare's logic.  Now that people are losing their insurance and finding that they may not be able to keep their doctor after all, Obamacare has become the domestic policy equivalent of the Iraq War: a protracted fiasco that is proving fatal to a president's credibility and approval rating.  The only thing missing is calling in FEMA to help fix this Category-5 political disaster.

Senate Democrats endangered for re-election will lead the charge for repeal perhaps as soon as January, after they get an earful over the Christmas break.  They'll call it "reform," and clothe it in calls for delaying the individual mandate and allowing people and businesses to keep their existing health insurance policies.  But it is probably too late to go back in many cases.  With the political damage guaranteed to continue, the momentum toward repeal will be unstoppable.  Democrats will not want to face the voters next November with the albatross of Obamacare.

The politics of the repeal effort will be a game theorist's dream.  Tea Party Republicans will resist "reforms" to Obamacare in favor of complete repeal.  Democrats will try to turn the tables and set up Republicans as obstacles to reform, hoping to inoculate themselves prospectively from mayhem at the polls next November. The House might want to insist that the Senate go first; after all, it was the Senate version of the bill that the House had to swallow after Scott Brown's election in January 2010.  The House can rightly insist that the Senate needs to clean up the mess they made.  Obama may well give Capitol Hill Democrats a pass on a repeal vote, and veto any bill that emerges.  He'll never face the voters again.

This wouldn't be the first time that a health care entitlement was repealed.  The same thing happened in the late 1980s with catastrophic coverage for seniors.  Because seniors were made to pay for their benefits under that scheme, the uproar forced Congress to repeal the measure barely a year after it went into effect.  Obamacare looks to be on the same political trajectory, and for the same reason.  Obamacare represents the crisis of big government; the limits of administrative government have finally been breached.  For the first time ever, some polls are showing a majority of Americans doubting the goal of universal health coverage.

The hazard of the moment is that a compromise "reform" that drops the mandate and attempts to restore the insurance status quo ante could leave us with an unfunded expansion of Medicaid and a badly disrupted private insurance market.  Republicans should avoid both the political traps and a new fiscal time bomb by being ready with a serious replacement policy, based on the premium support tax credit ideas that John McCain advocated (poorly) in 2008.  While anxious liberals are in dismay, they should recognize that Obamacare may well have achieved its chief purpose of making universal or at least greatly expanded health coverage a fixture of American social policy.  The cost to liberalism may prove fatal, however.

Are you a Democrat, Republican, or Southerner?

Here is a little test that will help you decide...

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.
Suddenly, an Islamic terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner,
locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife,
and charges at you. You are carrying a Kimber 1911 .45 Cal ACP, and you
are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

Democrat's Answer:

Well, that's not enough information for me to answer the question!

Does the man look poor or oppressed?

Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?

Could we run away?

What does my wife think?

What about the kids?

Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?

What does the law say about this situation?

Does the gun have appropriate safety built into it?

Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, I'm a Democrat, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?

Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?

Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?

If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?

Should I call 9-1-1?

Why is this street so deserted?

We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.

This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.

Republican's Answer:

BANG!

Southerner's Answer:

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click..... (Sounds of reloading)

Daughter: "Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Hollow Points?"

Antiwar Activist John Kerry Returns to Vietnam, As US Secretary of State
December 14, 2013, 1:58 PM

From Dishonest Antiwar Activist to Dishonest US Secretary of State

Back in 1971 John F. Kerry made a name for himself when he went before Congress and lied about his army brethren. Kerry accused fellow US soldiers and Marines of numerous war crimes.

It was all a lie.
Here is what Kerry said about his fellow soldiers back in 1971:

"They had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam."

Today John Kerry returned to Vietnam.

The AP reported:

John Kerry first set foot in Vietnam 44 years ago, a young U.S. Navy officer fighting in a war that would come to profoundly influence his political career and foreign policy thinking.

He returned again Saturday, this time as America's top diplomat, offering security assurances and working to promote democratic and economic reforms in the communist country.

In his 14th trip to the Southeast Asian nation since the war's end, the U.S. secretary of state was trying to bolster the remarkable rapprochement that he had encouraged and helped to engineer as a senator in the 1990s.

"I can't think of two countries that have worked harder, done more and done better to try to bring themselves together and change history, to change the future, to provide a future for people that is very, very different," Kerry told a group of businesspeople, students and others at the U.S. Consulate's American Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

How did this far left clown every become senator?,,, let alone Secretary of State?

China Bans Seafood from Western US

China has banned all shellfish imports from the western United States as the situation from Fukushima becomes worse each day.
The ban includes Alaska, Oregon, Washington and Northern California all of which are receiving quite a lot of radiation now.
This will have a huge impact on the economy in months to come as China imported half a billion dollars worth of products from the USA.

A navy subcontractor released information about the bad contamination of Treasure Island in San Francisco, a naval installation. I would link the article but it was scrubbed from the internet very quickly because of the information it contained.
Many families are living on Treasure Island and need to be removed for their health sake.

And the Pacific continues to die.
"By July 1, more than 98 percent of it (seafloor 145 miles west of the coast of California between Santa Barbara and Monterey) was covered in the decomposing organisms, according to the study, published this week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences."

When mankind puts money ahead of  concern for his fellow man tragedy results.

About 70% of Japan is contaminated with radiation from Fukushima.  20% of that is extremely toxic radiation and includes Tokyo.

This contamination will last for at least 300 years and according to some opinions many times that.

Health professionals are worried about "catastrophic" effects on Japanese health as well they should be.

Main stream media continues ignoring this.  They are invulnerable after all.

They are addicted to the worship of science that solves 'all as well'.

Those who said the radiated wave would not hit hard in California were also wrong.  It has not decreased in power or radiation.

More trouble is still to come and the star fish are dying along the Pacific coast of the USA at an ever increasing rate.

The Pacific Ocean is dying.

Japan is dying.

Mitsuhiko Tanaka, a former Fukushima Daiichi engineer, says the current state of the nuclear plant is "hopeless."
Unit 4 is leaking plutonium.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/fukushima-s-crippled-reactors-the-risky-plan-to-move-fuel-rods-1.2431190

The President of Tepco, Tokyo Electric Power Company, told British nuclear experts to be prepared 'for the worst' and that the meltdown is a "warning to the world" that nuclear power is not safe.

The mentally disabled and homeless are now the people working to try to contain and clean up Fukushima.  Ugly, but, that is what is happening.
As technological advances make the world believe it is smart, character and morality are sinking into the mire and slime.

Meanwhile thousands of Japanese are protesting a new 'secrets' law that will stifle and stop any news or new revelation about the condition of the Fukushima plant.

It is very hard to watch the constantly sinking state of the world today.

[...]

The meltdown at Fukushima is now a mere 12 inches from entering the earth after melting through the
concrete that was supposed to containing it.

It also seems that water has no effect in stopping a meltdown as the experts hoped it would.  As a matter of fact all the containment attempts have failed including the shielding called fuel barrier cladding which failed 2 hours after the accident.  At 13 hours the reactor vessel failed and at 7 days out the dry box containment shell melted through.  Now the concrete is melting.

What this all shows is that nuclear power is completely uncontrollable and absolutely deadly.  If a novel new fix is not discovered, this will be an ongoing problem for the next 10,000 years or more.

Officials are hoping it will not eat through any farther but as it was not supposed to melt through at all that seems like a ridiculous hope.
It is now too late to cover the entire area with concrete.  Things have gone too far.
Cancer clusters are now emerging in Japan and though some doctors say it is too early to blame Fukushima, that too seems ridiculous.

From Hannah Spector,PhD, Penn State concerning the ongoing Fukushima emergency:

"...science still does not have the technological or methodological understanding to clean up the disaster   which has leaked into the Pacific Ocean and spread throughout the northern hemisphere by way of wind and rain. This invisible truth is so incomprehensible that it is easier to pretend it doesn't exist."

Here we see the new definition of  'Classless Society' as three world leaders photograph their goofy selves at a man's memorial service.

No class, no manners, no sense of decency at all. This is the new classless society.
Mrs. Obama is having no part in it and in other photos looks decidedly annoyed by the goof-bag teeny boppers sitting near her.

Insurance Companies Say White House Overstating Obamacare Fixes

(Try and contain your shock and amazement)

WASHINGTON (NYT) —
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/15/us/enrollment-errors-cut-officials-say-fixes-are-overstated-insurers-report.html?hp&_r=2&

The Obama administration said Saturday that it had reduced the error rate in enrollment data sent to insurance companies under the new health care law, even as insurers said that the government's records were still riddled with mistakes.

The quality of the data is important; it could affect the ability of people to get medical care and prescription drugs when they go to doctors' offices and pharmacies starting next month.

More than 137,000 people selected health plans in the federal insurance marketplace in October and November, and administration officials say more than 100,000 signed up in the first week of this month.

For each person who signs up, the government is supposed to send information electronically to an insurance company in a standard format known as an 834 enrollment transaction. In some cases, consumers selected a health plan at the federal website, HealthCare.gov, but the government did not notify the insurance company. In other cases, insurers received duplicate files for the same person, files for one person were sent to an insurer in another state, or the "relationship code" was wrong so that, for example, a man's daughter was listed as his wife. [...]

Insurers said that they had found many discrepancies and errors and that the government was overstating the improvements in HealthCare.gov.
In some instances, they said, the federal government reported that the home address for a new policyholder was outside an insurer's service area. In other cases, a child was listed as the main subscriber — the person responsible for paying premiums — and parents were listed as dependents.

In some cases, children were enrolled in a policy by the federal government and parents were left off, or vice versa. In other cases, the government mixed up the members of a family: A child or spouse was listed two or three times in the same application in late November. Such errors can have financial implications, increasing the amount of premiums that a family is required to pay.

While some of the problems were discovered in the last few days, insurers said that they had previously reported many of the errors to the "help desk" at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and that the problems remained unresolved.
