:) Hey Griff  ;)
I full well understand your desire.  Me TWO.  However, Don't hold yer breath.  You won't look good in "Dead Blue."  Unfortunately, in all the years I had my Shingle out, I never saw an "Iron Frame" 1860 Carbine.  "If" Uberti makes it for you on special order, you'll be stuck running 45 Schofield cases with 200Gr length or shorter bullets to load 10.  Yule only be able to get Nine and a Half 45 Colt to load.  Bummer.
Coffinmaker, thinkin' positively, WHEN it happens, it's immediately going to Cody for his slickin' up, and installing a C45S carrier.  Since it's likely to happen around the time I win the LOTTO, I'll have lots of time to practice and I'll become the Holy Terror (winningest SASS shooter of all time) of Frontiersman!

I bought a carbine a couple of years ago in 44-40. I had to seat the bullet a bit dipper in the case to get 10 in the magazine. I wound up putting one of Bill English's 45 Cowboy Special carriers it it. I trimmed 44 Magnium cases to 45 Cowboy length and loaded with the 44 Mav Dutchman bullet. Shoots like a house a fire and I can get 13 in the magazine.

Almost forgot, I would like to join this group.

Lite Colonel

Please add me.  I have an Uberti repro 1860 Henry and have been shooting it for 2 years in NCOWS in the 3 or 4 gun pistoleer category.  It is 45 Colt and I load it with 250 grain lead round nose flat point with 35 grains of 3Fg black powder.  It is very accurate and the loads work great.

New here, thanks for having me.  Been shooting SASS for about 15 years as Colteer.  My lever gun collection went from my (1) 1970's  Marlin 1894 44 mag. to a big collection now.  Anyway during Covid I watched a New Henry Arms Co. 44-40 carbine keep getting relisted at $100 less each time.  When it was at $1300 I message the seller I would just buy it directly from him if it didn't sell and sure enough it didn't.  He said he couldn't find ammo anywhere.  I've been a reloader forever and was already loading 44-40 for an original Remington 1875 revolver so it work out just right.

The only 44-40 that I know of sold by HRA is their 1860 Henry - is that what you got?  You have me a little confused because I wouldn't consider that a carbine.  But if that's what you got, then yeah it was a bargain!  :)

 :) OH, Hey Skummer :o

As a Poster Kid for the 1860 Henry Replicants, I just gotta ask what barrel length is yer Carbine??  I have an eighteen-n-half inch Henry but Uberti calls it a "Trapper" which it ain't.  My other Henry's have been reduced to Sixteen-n-half "Trapper" length barrels.  Your HRA rifle as a carbine really intrigues me.

PS:  At the price you mentioned, That HRA Henry be a SMOKIN good deal.  Well done indeed

I really like it, holds just 10 for SASS and it's not so muzzle heavy.

TSK

Please add me to the list. I just purchased a nice iron frame Uberti 44WCF. It shoots straight and I'm looking forward to using it in matches as well as some hunting.
