777 with Jacketed bullets - a lube question

Does Hodgdon 777 require any kind of lube to prevent hard fouling the barrel? I am interested in trying it with a 300 Gr. jacketed bullet and wanted to know if the lack of lube would be a problem that would require the use of a lube cookie?
