Harvest is at a stop right in the area, 3 1/2 to 6 inches of rain Sunday night and Monday.  Riley woke me up the other morning aka last week, because they were combining the soybeans almost in the back yard, actually a block away, the corn one lot to the north is still there, but the ears just dropped.

The inhaler makes my throat rough sometimes, ran across this the other day, brand new so no whatever worries.  Old jars and bottles scare me.

Will put it near where I talk to and explain things to people at events.   ;D

60, headed for 65. Had .7" of rain the past two days, but supposed to be sunny for a few days.

Picked up the new German Tupperware gun today. And a fine piece of Tupperware it is. Probably go shoot it tomorrow. Also planning on building some 44spl Skeeters today, as I got a good deal on some .430 Gas checked SWC at the gun shop. $40/100. Might load up some 410 BB shells as well, because why not ::)

Good evening all, had a nice day today at Church, after teaching Sunday School I had security detail. Good messages from our Pastor. My G'niece Kenzie had come up from Mississippi for the weekend, then had to head home after the Afternoon Service. We relaxed this afternoon, my Missus will be heading early Tuesday for a week with her cousin in South Carolina, so I will be bacheloring it. [Izzat a word?] Working tomorrow and the rest of the week will probably see plenty of old Westerns.

Good evening folks 70 here after hitting 87 today. Good day at work, the Missus met me after work, drove us to Whataburger for dinner, even paid! I like this being a "kept man". Anyway relaxing tonight, got some good news on FB earlier, a young guy I met online is a member of the IDF and made it through several raids into Gaza after Hamas and is okay. Been wounded twice in the last two years.

Afternoon all.

Had a bit of excitement yesterday. Took the dog out for a walk on some timber company land, and ended up having some bullets going way too close for comfort. It is deer season, and I was wearing safety orange, but someone with poor marksmanship and worse situational awareness decided to shoot a deer over my head. In my "professionally having been shot at a lot" opinion, the bullets were within 10-15 feet of me. Made the 45 on my hip seem a little outclassed.

This was on of the few situations where I decided to involve law enforcement in my problems. As Shakespeare said, "all's well that ends well," as the offending party is now behind bars courtesy of the Ca Dept of Fish and Wildlife for a list of charges, including:

Poaching (no license/tag, and killed an animal on private land)
Using lead ammo (ca requires lead free for hunting)
DUI
Shooting from a vehicle/having a loaded firearm in a vehicle without a CCW
Reckless endangerment with a firearm

I had really just hoped the warden would have a stern talk with the fellow about hunting safety, but obviously things snowballed from there.

Anyway, y'all keep the forked end down. I'm going to sportsman's for some 9mm. $24/50 of Winchester 115gr JHP.

Indeed.

Evening all.

Spent the day at work closing down a lookout tower for the season. There was white stuff on that mountain, which made the 5 flights of outdoor stairs that much more exciting on every trip.

Starting tomorrow, Mrs TK and I are going on a 4 day vacation to Eureka, Ca for her birthday. Not much planned out thoroughly beyond eating at a couple particular restaurants and pestering critters in the tide pools. Might go look at a couple lighthouses.

Getting ready for the weekend. Plans changed but not that much. Gopher Grease can't make it, so rather than try to deal with the tent Brown Dog and I will day trip Friday and Saturday, only about 30 miles and for just a little cooking I don't need to get started at daylight.  Sunday will be people getting ready to go home for the most part and we will be there already.

Plan to finally shoot the 36 Friday and hopefully Saturday will have some decent crowds.  Will be the only one till spring and will spend the winter with details.

I'm going to try and get a small wedge I can handle by myself over winter.
