That is a steal! I have one, it's a great pistol for the money. Mine has a nice crisp trigger, and shoots POA.

Wow! That definitely is a steal. I always thought my Rock Island Armory 1911 was a steal at $450

I kept reading that the Tisas was a great pistol "for the money".  I impulsively bought one for $299 and (as I've mentioned elsewhere) I'm floored at the quality. I don't have a lot of rounds through mine, but it has been flawless so far. At one time, I was a 1911 armorer (not a gunsmith), so I've had it completely apart and I've done a little smoothing, but it didn't really need it. The worst part was the magazine release, which was very heavy and rough.  I did some smoothing and lightened the spring. The trigger quickly smoothed up and I very lightly adjusted the sear spring. I keep being tempted to buy another one, but that's only because this one was such a great deal; I really don't have use for another one.  I can't promise that they're all as good as mine, but I'm impressed so far.  It was raining the first time that I shot it, so there was mud on my home range. I just wanted to see how it shot, so I stayed on the gravel 60 yards from my steel targets. I shot 2 magazines at my 2/3 sized steel IPSC target and I think that I missed twice, even with the tiny GI sights.

OK, I'll get off my soapbox, but I think that these are great pistols "for the money" (and a fair amount more)!

In all candor aside, need is arbitrary... WANT is fleeting.
In the winter of 23 I procrastinated,  shoulda, coulda, woulda.
BUT, didn't when they under $300 then...

Hmmmm, what to do
when planets align...do the deal !
