Chrono'd some .50-95 loads
« on: March 22, 2020, 05:18:13 PM »
I took my Uberti '76 to the range today to chrono some loads. Here is what I checked.

I chrono'd four loads, all with 350gr bullets.
27.0gr of 5744 = 1180fps avg.
30gr of 5744 = 1272fps avg.
36.0gr of 5744 = 1501fps avg.
83.0gr Swiss 1.5F = 1503fps avg.

It felt good to exercise the old boy.

I'll bet that packs a wallop on the receiving end. I watch the youtube vids on occasions, I wish the guy would back up and shoot at a realistic range, say 100 yards instead of 100 inches.
