Rye,

My reply, which you quoted, was not directed too, at, nor about you or anything you said.  Was pointed elsewhere.  Misunderstanding.

I NEVER quoted that!!! Look back at what I've said! Are you okay?? Maybe a shot or two of bourbon will help! ;D

I know, President Trump just has the lowest national unemployment rate since we've been keeping records. More minorities working and off of food stamps and  welfare since 1964.  Booming stock market (which is on hold now during the pandemic, of course he'll be blamed for that too -why not?)  which has hit highs never before seen and probably will hit 30,000 by years end. Highest job growth in the last 40 yrs. Companies leaving China and coming back to the states. Made us oil independent (something that should have happened long ago, Trump got it done).
Donates his salary, wasn't a politician, completed almost all his campaign promises (instead of working one one or two like a politician). He's a do'er. Gets things done.  Wouldn't get away with telling constituents their full of S*it like sleepy Joe can.    Baltimore Ed, I can see your problem, you just want somebody to do nothing. Instead of giving specifics, it's easy to just "generalize".  Lesser of two evils .  .  .  fun to say.

Imagine if you could actually do 1 or 2 of those historic things while having a media that wouldn't give you any fair treatment but will run a lie headline in a heartbeat.  And people can't understand why he continues to use Twitter to have a voice??!   I can't believe how many folks there are in the Cowboy shooting that can't wait to vote someone in that will disarm us all .  .  .     that's disgusting .  .  .

Thanks Rye.

I understand that this "thread drift" is my fault and I don't view it as a P*ssing contest in the least. I just get tired of the "sideways" comments you here all the time about a President  that I like! It's almost a given that when conservative leaders are "talked about" by leftys, we are supposed to let it slide .  .  . don't say anything back .  .  . don't rock the boat!  Well I have just as much right as anybody to be proud of my President and I'll say so when I feel the need. I'm not trying to convince anybody one way or another. I gave specific points (of which there are numerous more) rather than generalities. Not trying to make friends or enemy's, im just standing up for someone who gets beat up in the press day in and day out yet still has the ability to grow the economy, protect our international interests, get folks to work, protect our boarders, be an on the front leader of our present pandemic .  .  .    nobody can truthfully say he's been treated fair,  or name the so called crimes they say he committed .  .  .  they tried for 3+ years and couldn't .
Yet on the other hand, I put up with the previous President that I did not like in the least,  tried to give us Socialized medicine, told us America has seen its best days, doubled our national debt .  .  .   I had to bite my tongue and not say anything or I'd be called a racist.
Honestly, if Obama was doing what Trump is today,  he'd be hailed as the "Greatest President" in U.S. history!!!

When did almost half our people decide that Socialism was a good thing? We could've had that 100 yrs ago. I'm from a Military family and we fought 2 World Wars to keep that from happening .  .  .  but suddenly we can't seem to get there fast enough!!  Anyway, I'm extremely proud of my President and the job he has done his first 4 years. He may not talk ?presidential " but he respects our country and our military and wants a people proud of their country, a country to be the envy of the world!!   He understands that we have the most unique country in the world  .  .  . where anyone can become an American! Unless you were born in France, you can't be  French, or English, or German, or Mexican  .  .  .  but in our country, anyone can become an American!
  That's where I stand on the matter .  .  .

I guess this is what happens when you inject politics in  threads and why some places don't allow it.  Like I said above, I don't mean to necessarily make any enemies, I just think conservatives should be able to be as bold as anyone else.
If folks agree with me, great!! If I stepped on any toes, well, you'll be a better swimmer!!

I also agree that we should be able to speak our mind here on cascity without things getting mean or ugly. I became an independent after Clinton was given a free pass for his improper behavior and lies. I was not surprised when another free pass was given by the republicans. I would love to have a second republican choice but it is what it is. As a gun lover, collector and shooter I have only one choice but that doesn?t mean that I have to approve of this guy?s inappropriate behavior.

Baltimore Ed,
I understand and somewhat agree  with you, but the question becomes, why do you (not specifically you) need a "politician" to run the country rather than a person that understands what the problems are and how to fix them .  .  .  regardless of his (or her) gruff speech. Would you throw any your freedoms for someone that speaks eloquent and politically?  Personally, I find a little "in your face" and "matter of fact" speak a little refreshing!!

I'd furthermore like all political offices be 2 and 4 yrs , 2 terms max and your out!!! Never ever to have a "career politician" ever again!! Too many of them (both sides) owe too many favors!! Clean up and drain the swamp, we have a good start!!

45, we are actually on the same page. We desperately need term limits, 2x4yr terms or 2x6 yr terms and then go home and be barred by law to have anything to do with the federal government again. And I also voted for Ross Perot with my thinking being to stop running the govt as a damn charity and more like a business. The National debt was ONLY 5 trillion then. Personally I think the country is broke with a 30 trillion dollar debt plus this 2 trillion Coronavirus bailout. Where is this money coming from? China or are we just printing money? That?s called inflation, do you want to pay 100.00 for a loaf of bread. You can?t keep borrowing without end, it doesn?t work that way. And President Reagan was in your face and spoke his mind but he wasn?t insulting or ignorant.

Someone said Trump is rough around the edges. That's true but he need those rough edges to cut through the bullcrap in D.C. I voted for him because he's NOT a slick talking politician. He was praised and looked up to when he was just building hotels and he was given all kinds of awards from the liberals and black communities in NYC UNTIL he became a REPUBLICAN! He punches back and I love that about him. He's more like we are than anyone in that cesspool of politicians! ::)

I agree, can't Barrow forever!  The one caveat is, with an economy just on hold to allow a pandemic to run its course, we need to have the jobs available that folks were asked to leave to come back to. That is the only way you can "pick up where you left off". After that, with a wide open free market there's know way we can't eventually get a handle on our debt and at the same time, do away with programs the we pay for that the Fed. has no business running in the first place (let's don't get all cranked up again!! Lol!!)  Pandemics come around what every 100 yrs or so?  The timing sucks  of course but thank God we have a waiting market and work force that will make this ultimately a " bump in the road"!! Hopefully, lessons will be learned here (at this time) and future Presidents can /will navigate through with Americans in mind rather than power/party put first (am I dreamin?!!).  I also am glad you agree, term limits would help take power/party favors out somewhat.

Oh, Coffinmaker has been senile for some time.  That is why he shoots short barrel guns.

When he shoots long barrels, by the time his vision gets all the way out to the front sight he forgets what he was aiming at.
