How to soften leather belt

How do you soften a stiff leather belt, beside wearing it?

Saddle soap to clean it, and rub it down with a conditioning paste or mink oil.

In Decades past, the warrior had his Significant Other chew it.  The histories say it worked quite well.

Hi

O.K., so we had a separate discussion about not using Neatsfoot oil because it makes your belt to soft.  Is the belt too thick maybe?  Curious more than anything else.

Oils and conditioners only  make leather too soft if you use too much of it or do it too often.

I use a LIGHT application of Kiwi Leather Lotion. Wait 24 hours for it to completely soak in, then wear the belt.
Scouts Out!

I would use Lexol(R) Leather Conditioner...SPARINGLY.  You can either use a spray bottle or wipe it on with a soft cloth, like an old t-shirt. Apply to both sides of the belt, but go easy or the belt can wind up too soft.
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!
