Having a bit of a rough day, not bad but not as good as most have been.  Got a
Dr appointment this afternoon, think it's nap time for an hour or so.

X-ray looked good, cleared to drive but not on the narcotics, will stay on them a bit longer because I can do more of what I need to do.   Walked two grocery stores after appointment.

2 weeks from now I can start lifting above my head as tolerated.

Sore and took the full pain meds for the rest of the day but am getting off them.

Damn, fires out, coffee is cold, he the kid is doing good.  Up checking the plumbing and getting some pain meds.  Cut it way down, but the morning and early afternoon, by late afternoon and evening I get sore.  Nice to get a good sleep, having a minor other problem people have after surgery and on pain meds.  May not be allowed to shop at the pharmacy at the Russ's Market on 66th street no more, the one we usually go to would have never been caught off guard with me.

Old joke,  couldn't find what I needed, they changed the package over the 12 years since I needed them, went and asked the lady, she came and found them for me.  Couldn't help myself, looked over the package and told her those didn't ever work.  Lady looked confused and I told her I might as well shove them up my butt for all the good they did.😂🙄😳

Daughter lady and daughter both about lost it laughing, I put them in my cart and thanked her, daughter just did a face palm.

Was going to go with the warden shopping today, was informed when she got back from running Lexie to school that it was 5F out there so I was staying home.  ::)

Probably a good idea, but means I'm stuck here another day, at least if I don't get out before I got an appointment on Tuesday.   Trying to back off on pain meds, had to refill them, they may have cracked or strained some ribs, not uncommon.   Using less meds but if I don't take enough it hurts to breather in the ribs?muscles and then BP/Heart rate goes up.  Most times running under 120/70 and rate under 60.   But that's resting also.

It looks like I'm going to live and should be back to normal.  I love it, been reporting in my FB cooking groups and I got a lot of people telling me I need to get well because I haven't taught them everything I know yet.

Went into this with the thought if I couldn't come completely back I'd pass on most of the gear and just show up places and help with others and continue to teach.

A church group showed up this morning and took over the storm clean up here. Less than 2 hours they had it all on our brush pile. They even got trees that fallen previously. They are going to bring a bucket truck back and get a widow maker in front of the house. They truly have been a blessing.

Heard of such ... read of and elderly couple that needed help ...a group showed up repaired & painted their home hauled away a accumulated rubbish.
It was heart warming.
It wasn't a church group it was employee wide project of Shepard Exposition ....another project was preparing bulk meal packets for donation to the Hurricane damaged islands. They do Toys for children at Xmas.

On another matter , bi-annual vampire appointment for blood letting and to wring it out for testing  ::)

Appointment is mid morning so I figure to do lunch after and maybe mess around in the reload room and enjoy the PTO day.

Major- I think you and your co- workers also helped a family out not too long ago. It was refreshing at that time to read about.
Make sure the blood letting allows you enough to go home with.

Any tips here for a dog with Dementia?

More normal winter like weather here next few days- nothing like Packer Country... cold enough for us.

Snow here,  not sure how much, but there is ice under it.  Closed school,  Lexie here all day, daughter went home to do some homework. No outing for me today.

Roo, talked to some of my dog friends, just like a person you take care of them as long as you can then you have to make a decision.
