I actually picked this up last week as a total mud puppy. It was a British Victory Model that had it's .38 S&W cylinder bored out to take .38 Special and the 5" barrel cut off. Anyway, It's got a new mainspring here, and a new cylinder and barrel on the way in.

And this one arrived today, a 1913 built Triple Lock! 5" barrel and in .44 Special, by markings was factory refinished in 1952.

 :) Oh YES ;)

That Triple Lock 44 Special has me drooling yes it does!!  44 Special is such a versatile cartridge, as one can feed it 44 Russian and 44 Colt as well as the Spl round.  Deacon's is especially yummy in the condition it's in.  Just absolutely yummy you betcha.

It's unfortunate about them Cats.  When chasing a laser pointer they can be some vicious.  Frightening thought it is.

Well, got this yesterday, a second year 10/22! Metal buttplate and walnut stock. Honest wear with a couple of dents and dings but really clean. Seems weird to have a SN of 12xxx when 5 million have been made.

No Acquistions as of late, in fact it's been over 6 months
since the S&W 15-2 (Combat Masterpiece) arrived.
It is a sweet shooter, has some honest duty holster wear but its mechanically sound.

I have a few wishes list items, like
A. V prefix Victory S&W M&P (I have just post-war S prefix Circa 1946)
B. donor Colt Police Positive (for project Fitz Special)
the one I have is a 1919 and way to nice and has provenance

That's a great firearm and a great find. I seem to remember buying a 10/22 around 1975 or so for $59.00

Yup, Coffinmeister, I see a lot of really nice guns come through the shop! I'm actually gonna put a Savage 99 on layaway tomorrow, rotary magazine, round counter and in .300 Savage. Gonna have to start hunting for a peep sight for it.

Or maybe steal an old Weaver K4 off another rifle for this one...

Got around to ordering some of that PPU in 22 Hornet a while back, 2 boxes and 50 per box, have heard good stuff about it and cheaper that that pointed plastic tip light weight stuff per box and those only have 25.  Love it, real 45 gr semi-pointed at 2400 FPS, pre-war spec, similar to my handloads.

Was out to the farm the other day and spotted a woodchuck popping around.  So had to take the rebarreled Low-Wall with the K-12 and sight it in or rather check the zero since it's been a while.  Right where my handloads go.

Chuck is still around, likes to peak, but something to do.

Nice to see someone understand the Hornet, even if it took the Serbs to do it. That new stuff is plain dumb. Just buy a 223 and it's all cheaper, hate to think how much noise them damn 35 gr at 3000 fps make in the Hornet.  If I want the whole damn county to know I'm shooting, I'll take the 243.  ::)

I also can borrow one of several of those AR things anytime I want, my friend offered to trade me a new one of them and a new bolt gun with a decent scope for my old Hornet, he knew before he asked.

BTW got 4 more boxes of the Partizan ammo and found the last box of my handloads. Need to find the brass and get some loaded also.  Going to pass the word around the area this spring that if anyone has chuck problems I will work for free.  ;D

BTW, flat mainspring action and a Springfield 22 LR barrel chambered for Hornet. Made just before the Korean War by a guy who went to Trinadad on the GI Bill.

Was a High-Wall in 219 Donaldson with full dies set to build from 30-30 and a high Cheek-Piece stock of very nice walnut but was lucky to be able to come up with the $250 for the Hornet. Had a Bushnell Widefield on it but found a K-4 at a gun show and later the K-12 came up for $75 so I swapped scopes.

Found the right rings in a box so the K-4 might go on my 513-T for fun.

 :)  Hey Del  ;)

That Lo-Wall is some sweet.  I too have a severe fondness for the 22 Hornet.  I had two, but, they were on the same action.  My first was a Thompson Center Contender with a 10 inch barrel in 22 Hornet.  Then, I like'd it so much, I sourced a 16inch Heavy Barrel for it and added a butt stock to make it a rifle.  That little gun would drive tacks.  Regret ever letting it go.
