1865 burnside spencer carbine

some pictures of my newly acquired 1865 spencer burnside carbine. can anyone tell me if $1200.00 was a good price?

I found it on gun auctions. A guy in eastern pa had it. could you elaborate on the bore condition question? I fully disassembled the gun, except for the lock, and gave it a good cleaning. bore was dirty, and after cleaning, it is somewhat shiny, with very visible 3  groove rifling. I just ordered the correct stabler cutoff, and screw to bring it back to original. I also had to replace the front saddle bar screw.
