Back from my gathering, looks like it's going to be an annual affair.

Had 14 people, besides Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wisconsin and Michigan were represented.

The goal was to exchange ideas and eat good food cooked in black iron and enjoy historical Rock Creek Station.

Pictures of food consumed and cooked will follow later.

You going to recrown it yourself? Larry Potterfield has a video on it. It did not look too difficult what I
remember.
What caliber is it?
It may need more than recrowning. I'll see if I can find the video.
.32-40 Win. I may rebarrel it.

Got back from our state shoot yesterday, shot lousy on Saturday, much better on sunday. I did win a $250.00 gift certificate from Mernickles leather, so that was good. I came in 7th in category and 127th overall out of 228 shooters.

Good to melt lard or butter, make a roux in it to have handy when making different sauces.

Can pour bacon drippings in it for later.

Would be good for 1 person if I decide to go hide for a few days.

Is 3/4 quart, 5 inch, Gopher Grease  got one too.  Been 13 years and one month since we cooked together.  He is planning on making it to the Muster to shoot and help me.

Feel like Jake and Elwood putting the band back together.😳

In 1979 they took me on a batchelor party jaunt and out to BJ's Hideaway they had a stripper that danced to that.🙄

Gopher Grease made the same apple caramel upside down cake he made 13 years ago when we last cooked together, he hadn't made it since then.

Told him to stop by and rummage through the groceries, just happened to have all he needed.🙂
