Thankee for the coffee....has cooled off since the two 100+ scorchers after the 'cane

"SHE"  will use Publix 60%  Winn Dixie 20% for Food stuffs   and she does use Walmart ( Super &/or Neighborhood ) for soaps  cleaners etc. the other 20%

I do go to Publix and on rare occasion Ive been in WD but not maybe in the past 12 months or more course my Mom & Pop  Barber is in the the same shop center.

Aside for Fridays foray specifically to grab the 9MM deal ( which turned out "not" as it was steel cased ) I by-passed any and all other offerings and only wasted some of my time and none of my money.

I avoid going " shopping " when and if I can ?
I'm guilty of using the internet. I used Amazon ...I have a Business account with many product options reviews and  free shipping.
and I don't have to deal with the parking and mass patronage of Wallys world emporium

Morning Coffee is up and ready. Some red glare to the sky this morning but I suppose it will be humid and in the mid 90?s again today.

I see everyone?s favorite college team won or lost as in Del?s case yesterday. Gonna refill Hummingbird feeder and feed chickens and goats then stay in A/C . Got a pile of green beans to freeze up. I will work in that.

In the late 19th Century Montgomery Wards and Sears and Roebuck were the bad guys with them newfangled mail order catalogs taking advantage of the cheap parcel post rates made possible  by all the new railroads.

Afternoon all.

Monthly trip to Great Falls to give Uncle Sam my time is complete.  Now time for some sleep before class at 8am.

A great many Family run Dry Goods- Mom & Pop Hardware  if you will would have "section" or area counter with the Sears and Roebuck or Monkey Ward catalog
and received the parcels as well as their own stock...They co-existed to about the mid teens or 1920's

Morning coffee is up. Missed yesterday for some reason.

18 years ,,,seems like a recent event.....

I suppose those that were around on Dec. 7 1941 or Nov, 22 1963 feel the same  ( I recall Nov. 22 clearly )

A Girl I know  has a Brother that worked in the South Tower ... un be-known to her or the family he had taken PTO and gone fishing in the Catskills. Listed with the missing
they though he was lost. He was off the grid and only heard about attack in an overheard comment.
The family only found out he was safe 2 days later ....imagination the grief then elation and what ever else they felt....

Evening Y'all, been busy these last couple of weeks getting things ready for the autumn clean up and this week getting ready for our SASS State championship,Heluva Rukus. I shot a match last Sunday as a tune up and was happy with my times for the most part.I found a problem with one of my new to me Bisley Vaquero's that was fixed as soon as I got home. The previous owner installed the hand springs in backwards and when it got dirty it was jamming up the cylinder hand and not rotating the cylinder. I did manage to shoot a clean match despite the problem and will try to replicate that the Rukus. Y'all be good and stay safe,I'll give a report when I get back once I've recuperated from the match.
Respectfully,Major E.A. Sterner

Got an event this weekend, got about 25 of the cooking group on FB coming to RCS, probably gain weight.

Hip doing better, Rita bought a new/old office desk for her, going to have Lexi's dad and one of his friends help get it in the basement and they agreed to load my pickup so I don't have to carry stuff up.

I know we shouldn't spoil the dog too much, but he hadn't been for a ride since Monday and
he wanted to go, kept wanting to go out the front door and then just stared at the car.  Went down the street and back so he's now happy.😂

I don't care, nobody can say I'm mean to him.
