Just got attacked, laid back down and was almost asleep, when I heard running in the hall that changed tone as they hit the doggy steps.  I looked up in time to see two paws to big for their body flying through the air right at me.

Behind them was a pink nose and pink lips smiling.  Yes I like old mellow dogs, but puppies are fun too.🙂

Kind of wanting a younger dog but just can?t anymore.

Thanks Slim and to Major2 for the non spoiler ;D

Yesterday was the first official day of fall- it was 92 here and drier than a popcorn phart. There has been a wildfire between here and the Georgia line. (Atlanta is a 2 hour drive).  Over the weekend.  A little cooler in mornings but heats right back up.

Talked to my old cowboss in Virginia yesterday.  Had a good visit with him.

Not much else to report.

Little  brown dog likes flour tortillas, had a couple left over and gave him one, took it, tossed it around, grabbed it and headed downstairs to show Rita, tortilla flapping in the breeze.

I forgot how much fun puppies are, waiting for the first snow.

We have a cat that likes tortillas also, just not whole ones. He will also lick the tomato salsa and hot sauce up.
However you think a pup is fun? Try having one that is completely deaf and blind in one eye. It is like rearranging Hellen Keller?s furniture twice a day.

Morning Coffee is up - and at 5am it might be cooled off by time ya?ll get going.

Stopped at the store after PT, got some stuff, went to dollar aisle, found 8 shot, break top snubnose and picked up 96 speed loaders also.  Brought it home, loaded it, little brown dog thought it was ok.

Need to get some percussion caps for 58 Remmy next and check on if I can still find smokeless blank data for 28 ga.  Can always use a little black.

FIRE ALERT ISSUED FOR ALABAMA: The Alabama Forestry Commission has upgraded the recent Fire Danger Advisory to a statewide Fire Alert effective immediately. While under a Fire Alert, permits for outdoor burning will be restricted and issued on an individual basis at the discretion of the State Forester. This burning restriction is being issued because of the current drought situation, continued lack of precipitation, and high probability of fuel ignition. With this extremely dry weather, conditions are such that any fire can quickly spread

I have a pile of brush to burn off- continue waiting now

They say at least 2 weeks out before a freeze here, that's about what is needed to get the corn and beans that were late mature enough to harvest.

Hoping rain and snow hold off also.

Snow should hurt the corn unless it is 4 foot deep.
