An Annoyance
« on: June 07, 2019, 06:21:28 PM »

I am perhaps a little late, as I don't actually know when the most recent issue of GOTOW hit the stands.  Anyway, I picked up the issue day before yesterday.

I find myself a little annoyed, the Front Cover and Major article dedicated to a VIDIO GAME!!  Am I a Luddite, or is that just ...... WRONG.  Actually, I found the entire issue to be a tidily bit weak.  The article on the Duke's '92 was also a tad misleading.

At least I found the article on the CZ Sharptail quite interesting.  I don't have use for one, but it was some interesting.

I felt the same way, maybe they are hoping to broaden their appeal to a new section of readers, but it left me disappointed too.

DITTO!

I was disappointed that I just renewed my subscription and this is what I got. As I understood it, the "hero" of the video game is a criminal/outlaw. As a retired deputy sheriff from Arizona that's exactly what I want to do, pretend to be a crook. On second thought, probably not.

Heavens My Good Coffin -

here I thought you were referring to me....

I have not seen the cover yet, but I fear the abomination is pervasive...   "Forged in Fire" is basing many of their challenge sword-like objects
weapons on Neverwas items "as seen in the video game Blah Blah Poo Poo " ....

it is a way to generate revenue!

Talking amongst ourselves is OK as long as you tell the publishers the same thoughts.  ::)

Well, Red Dead is a fun game, and it features several favorite guns of the day, like the Schofield, Mauser, and Henery Rifle.
