Well went to Mom's to change the water pump on The Field Marshal before leaving Monday.

We ended up rebuilding the front end on the passengers side.  But we got the water pump replaced.  Good to have a nephew who is good with a couple of his friends that are too.

Snapping fresh what southerners call, rattlesnake beans. Nearly finished this peck basket worth. These will get blanched and froze.

Have fresh picked corn to do also.

Our tomato plants are flowering. Hopefully we'll get a couple.

Nice here today, wasn't nice about 1 am when the tornader  came to visit, itty  bitty one.  Have found most everything have a extra park light lens, no idea? ::)

4 dozen eggs turned the corner went behind the shed into the wind, opened a tub a scattered tea bags into the  wind.  Sucked all the ice yea out of the Igloo jug and toilet paper out of the outhouse and the bed liner out of Jack's pickup.

We are now into the hot weather season here in Florida with temps in the mid nineties and heat indices around 100 degrees. We have learned how to work around the heat and go to the pool early every morning to workout. Surprisingly enough, we are getting used to the warmer weather.

You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

But are you still in Kansas?

Morning all.

60 and sunny, headed for 85 and thunderstorms. I got to fly this morning, finally. Went solo out to the practice area, did some maneuvers, then came back and landed. I walked away from the landing, and the plane didn't require any maintenance, so I'm calling it a great landing.

Taking the girlfriend to the chiropractor in a little while for another appointment. Making slow progress, but she's to the point now where Vicodin is no longer needed.

I have an interview tomorrow morning for a position at a convenience store down the street.  $9.50/hr to start, then if luck is with me I could make supervisor an get a raise to $14 in the next few weeks.

Johnny, it was 38 here this morning. Want to trade?

That's about all the news from out here.

TK, I'd trade for 38 from midnight until 7:00 AM any day of the week. Attached is a picture of what we don't miss.

I've been through Montana many times on my Harley during my annual Sturgis trips. Beautiful country!

By the way my son is a pilot. He flies for an aerial photography company based in St. Petersburg. I remember his first solo flight many years ago.

The Western part of the state is nice. This Eastern part around Billings is kind of bland for my taste. Weather is the opposite.  I'm not particularly a fan of snow blowing around at -25f. But, such is life.

I always liked the Eastern part of the State especially North of there.  The Missouri Breaks Country

.

That's not too bad. Too far away for frequent visits, though.

And the 'naders got us too, Del. Little one out in a field to the east about 5-10 miles.  No damage to life or property, though some prairie dogs are probably dizzy.
