Ordered some Magtech 32-gauge brass

Really curious to see how this works for full-power BP hunting loads out of the Spencer.

Cut and trimmed a 32 gauge brass case to length and find it hold 57 grains of water, vs. 48.3 for the Starline .56-50 brass -- roughly 15 percent more case capacity. That should come in handy for heaviest BP hunting loads out of the Spencer.

What is the Magtech 32ga. case rim diameter and the rim thickness, please?

Am concerned about how they relate to the corresponding chamber rim cut OD, depth and compatibility with the blade style extractor.

Kevin, base diameter of the Magtech brass is .569; rim is .628; rim thickness is about .062, but not as uniform as the Starline rim. It fits perfectly in the RCBS No. 31 shellholder
I must revise my water capacity measurements. I took the original capacities of both a fired Starline .56-50 case and the Magtech 32-gauge derived case without full-length sizing them; after sizing them in an RCBS full-length sizer die, the capacities are 45.5 grains for the Starline and 53.7 for the Magtech -- an 18 percent gain.
I don't know why it didn't occur to me at the outset to compare sized cases.

VERY helpful.

The 32ga case OD of .569" just above the inside of the rim should be fine in an original chamber. 
The 32ga .062" rim THICKNESS matches the nominal STARLINE rim thickness of .062".
The 32ga rim OD of .628" is perhaps a bit narrow compared to .650" for cases that work well with the blade extractor. My custom case rims are .650" OD to fit into a chamber rim CUT of .660" and a cut depth of .065".
The Starline and Magtech 32ga brass rim THICKNESS of .062" should "fit" well in a .065" depth rim cut.

Betcha there will be a run on the 32ga cases.  I'm going to try them.  The greater capacity will help the hunters.
