Spencer rifle serial number

Hello, i am looking at purchasing the Spencer rifle from dave taylor... any idea on where it may have been issued by your studies? Serial 10249. Thank you!!

I found Spencer Rifle serial #s 10252 and 10254 were issued to Kentucky Units

10252 was issued to Company H, 28th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry on January1, 1865

10254 was issued to Company H, 11th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry in 1864 (no day or month given).
