It was. She is healing well. Going to be doing more PT.

#2 daughter car batteries keeps losing it's charge. I think it is alternator since the battery does take a charge.

'Tis -4 and sunny. WC -20. "Blustery. Mostly cloudy. Some blowing and drifting snow. Scattered flurries. Highs in the middle teens. West wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Lowest wind chill readings to 25 below zero in the morning."

An alternative alternator might be in order.

Slim easy check on alternator. Start vehicle, remove battery cables from battery. If car runs, not alternator.  I just watched a  deal on how important a good battery is to the modern car than just starting. Gas mileage for one.  We have bought  3 batteries and a alternator since Thanksgiving.

Del my dogs all get farm not so fresh (but fresher than store bought) eggs. They get them the way I serve them. Until they tell me they want them over easy, scrambled is what they get. Major when we first got the Shepard's  one of them was in sad shape. We fed them Chicken and rice along with their kibble. Poor ole Raina was fed that with yogurt.  That and a couple thousand dollars in Vet and meds she is one happy farm dog today. Her sister is fat and lazy.

Cold here again today but sky is clear and calm.

Thanks for the Coffee Slim

All right you made me feel bad.  And I am running out of storage space. I just scrambled a box of eggs for all the dogs. The pig likes them too and the shells go back to the hens for calcium. Scratch

We have been blessed with a good winter egg production and regular buyers. However the farm market is closed for winter so we have a excess. Sometimes we take to a shelter when we are headed to town.

#2 daughter took it to an parts store and they tested it. Alternator is good. Battery still is "good", but I think with the -0 weather the original battery is not performing like it should. So, I'll probably get a new battery for it.

Evening all. I'll take some eggs, if y'all are cooking them. ::)

Nice warm day in Billings today. High of 26. Yesterday was much less pleasant.  I was in Butte for MEPS, and when we loaded on the bus to leave the hotel, it was -36 ambient, WC -64.  That was downright uncomfortable. Billings was -30, WC -54.

Speaking of Butte, I passed meps just fine, and will theoretically swear in next week, then ship to basic training in early May.

Went with Rita to the church tonight to help them with what ever it is they call the day before.

We were the first there and they got unlocked and got to it.  Told them I could mix pancakes if they'd show me where the sourdough starter was.

Blank stare.  Had some bags of stuff, said you just had to add water to make pancake batter, ok, then the two ladies drug out a couple big measuring cups and I got spooked and decided to help Rita with the sausage. Should have taken my 15 Lodges, got assigned a couple lectric skillets, had some sort of strange seasoning on them so I had to use a plastic Turner so as to not damage it.  Figure Martha Stewart must a seasoned it.

Found out I really wasn't gonna cook sausage but was just heating up up leftovers. Some Jimmy Dean had leftover cause the packages said they were already cooked so that means they were leftovers.

Got in trouble with Rita and she whacked me with her turner cause I kept singing Big Bad John.

Pancakes they made dropped the batter on the griddle with something that looked like a miniature top of a cream separator and it was damn stingy with the batter. Didn't make a proper pancake, was no more than 6 inches across.  Kinda like them wimpy things you get in resteraunts

Met the new Sky Pilot, but he never heard the term Sky Pilot before. Must be fresh out of seminary and was sick the day they taught other terms for circuit riders.

Ate. They had plenty of help cleaning up. Some of the youth group must have been bad and got put on KP.

Asked Dale, the ramrod of the kitchen if I could take a couple extra pancakes for my buddy and he said sure. He's been to the house and Rowdy likes him.

Came home. Put some peanut butter on them cause we like peanut butter on them on Nebraska.

I'm hiding in the bedroom cause the V show is on.

I installed a lower hose heater on a Ranger 4 cylinder when I was in Montana. Took it to Virginia and folks kept asking if it was a Diesel Motor, because of the plug. It helped on really cold days, they seemed crank faster.

Glen I take it none of last nights experiance rubbed off on you?

Hmmmm ! back in my day it was (AFEES) ARMED FORCES EXAMINING AND ENTRANCE STATION.

I was one of only two in my intro that were enlisting , that was June 1968 ...the other approx. 50 were Draftees.....
I was set for the US Navy.... never spoke to the other guy.
But, I was sent home as my hearing was sub-par  ( always was plagued in that regard, knew it going in ) to be called at a later date that was 52 years ago.... still waiting  ::)
