Holy Guacamole! That second one actually makes this '49 single shot look sort of elegant!

I wish I had some evidence to show but many years ago my brother-in-law bought 3 Webly Mark VI as kit guns. They had been demilled by smashing and cylinders and barrels and were ruined. But in the deal, they included replacement cylinders and barrels. I put them together and they actually worked. Here comes the strange part... I cut the hinge and top strap off a smashed barrel and welded them onto a 10" section of 45 caliber barrel we happened to have. The barrel extended back to the recoil shield. I chambered it to 45-70. I installed the extractor made from an original just cut 5 legs off. We actually shot it a few times with very light loads. After we had our fun, I switched it back to 45 revolver. I had the ugly 45-70 barrel assembly for a while but not seen it in 20 years.
