I bought a Uberti Flat Top a few months ago and it came with the dreaded retracting firing pin. I found a replacement target trigger on clearance from Midway, but replacement hammers were/are on galactic wide backorder.
I disassembled the revolver to install a bolt spring and work on the trigger pull a bit and compared the lawyer trigger to the original. By golly, I almost think the lawyer trigger, with some judicial filing and/or grinding to remove that Rube Goldberg appendage, could be made to work with an original hammer.
I found a dude on the wire selling two Uberti hammers, both with the pivoting hammer block, and I snatched them up unhesitantly. So by weeks end I ought to have my Flat Top back the way it should be and I'll be living on the edge, taking fate into my own hands by loading 6 and using the safety notch!!
