Shoulder rigs

What are people's thoughts on shoulder rigs? I'm looking for style points and not speed at my age. and I don't mind doing the "dance" to draw and reholster. 

Ted Blocker seems to offer a useable rig. What is the longest barrel practical for such a rig?

There are a handful of shoulder holsters that were used in the 1800's. This site lists different historical holsters available, including shoulder holsters. Scroll down and start looking. My choice would be the 'Jesse James with Bloody Bill Anderson' one down a short ways.

My thoughts my or may not help ya PJ.  I'm no fan of long barrels.  I DO like the Huckleberry Rig as displayed by Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone.  I also like the Skeleton rigs, but most of the Skeleton I'v seen were too vertical.  Were I to be using a Huckleberry, I'd have it made for a 3 1/2 inch barrel SA with Ejector.  At most a 4 3/4 inch barrel.  Of course for myself, it would be made to fit one of my custom 3 1/4 inch Navy pattern .44 Snubbies.

I'm grateful for the feed back. I think that I may forego the shoulder rig for long barrel guns and use one for my 5-1/2" '71 .38 Spl. Open Top. That should not present any problems drawing or reholstering.

I'm leaning towards the Ted Blocker offering. Check it out.

I'm  on my second shoulder rig,  the first was for a 357 saa with a 4 3/4 bbl. This one is a New Style SBH 44 with a 7 1/2 bbl.  The shorter barrel was definitely easier to deal with,  but the 44 is manageable. Both rigs were modified to suit me,  based off a simple Al Stohlman pattern.
