Reporting in from Dodge City: Travels uneventful so far.

Major EAS, new wood for that shouldn't be much problem, but I'm not sure what you can do about the "checkering"  that's been (de)filed into the receiver.

Evening all.

Hit 106 today.  Currently 87 at 2100.

That's pretty much all that happened here today.

I've got a doctor's visit tomorrow.  Yay.

Thank you for the Ice Tea and Coffee, Slim.

Alabamy weather..... more of the same.  Yesterday a hour drive west, recieved 7” of rain, here just enough to know it rained.

The duck egg saga... Slim the second egg was just a tad larger than first. Yesterdays, the third egg was double. Not saying much the previous looked like banty eggs.  Todays is a bit smaller again.  I am sure the size will develope in the next month. In the mean time most of my chickens lay x large eggs.  So selling duck eggs at the time won’t work.  Unless i add ducks on.
The new pullets are all starting to lay and their sizes are developing also.

Afternoon all.

Another 105 day today.  Yesterday got 110-115.

Doctor's appointment went well, for what it was.  Got poked and prodded and sampled and evaluated, but I walked out with an FAA Class 1 Physical Certificate.  Then I went and got a donut.

Spent the rest of the evening walking in a dry Creek bed while I waited for my mother to call saying she was done with what she was doing.

Congrats, Slim & Mrs Slim!

Don't know just how hot it was here in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, but for the most part it's tolerable. Was pretty hot out by the Great Sand Dunes, kids didn't want to venture out into the dunes. Oh well. Went on to Zapata Falls, 2 1/2 or so miles or really rough but still 2 wheel driveable rock road, told the littlest one she was hiking up the last half mile whether she liked it or not, she ended up liking it after a bit of initial whining. Kids didn't get all the way to the falls, the last 100 yards is wading in some pretty swift water, and they're not that adventurous. But we got there, one at a time, while the other stayed with the kids. Pretty neat, the actual falls is in a narrow crack in the rock, almost a cave, about 30ft on the main fall, then a smaller one about 5 ft.

Congrats Slim.

Del, he never brought it up. :o

It hit 114 today.  I went fishing this evening, I didn't get any, but the guy I went with got two decent bass and one minnow.  I'm not sure the why of it, but that's how it went.

Going to keep it simple today.
