F&W Bulldog .38!
« on: April 28, 2018, 11:01:19 PM »
Scored this at the gun show today-

Nice shooter, but she's spitting some lead now and again- I reckon I'll need to sort the timing a bit. This was double-action rapid-fire a 5 yards.

I do like this little critter! I'd rather have found a .450, but since I already reload .38 S&W it's a natural.

I've always felt that there were more of these types of guns carried during our era than all the large Colt, S&W and Remington's belt guns combined. Especially after open carry became frowned upon.
As for rather having a .450, since it's doubtful you bought it for daily carry and self defense, and since you already load the 38 S&W, I think your better off with this one.

Yeah, this was bought as a curio-value and as a fun and different shooter. A .450 would be for the same reasons- it just has extra neat-o factor!

Tinker, here's my .450 but it's a British Lion not a Bulldog. No other markings except for a 45 on the frame and cylinder. Looks very similar  to a F&W.

Looks awesome! How's the timing and bore?
